L.A. Dragnet 10/4 (season premiere)

I'm looking forward to tonight's premiere!

Spoiler:
"Daddy's Girl"
In the season-premiere episode, Lt. Friday and Detective McCarron respond to a call about a teenaged girl, later identified as Nina Stanton, found on the edge of a reservoir. She's been badly burned and beaten and soon dies of her injuries, leaving her grieving father, Wade Stanton, determined to find out who killed his daughter. Nina's injury patterns suggest the suspect is someone close to her and, with Mr. Stanton meddling in the investigation, the detectives' search takes them to a range of places and people, including an abandoned house where Nina's troubled friends perform seances, and to some of her friends' parents, including an ex-con who refers to cops as "stink."

Don't really want/need to watch yet another hour long drama...

But I will.

Two words:

Roselyn. Sanchez.

Any clue if a rerun is scheduled? I'm in Boston and they're not showing it in favor of the stupid baseball playoff game :-(

I was really looking forward to see if the retailoring of this show was for the better, though I'll miss Ethan Embry...

Was there any transistional episode for Joe Friday (going from detective to squad leader)?

I'll miss Ethan Embry's puppy dog eyes looking with wide amazement at Joe Friday's deductive abilities.

I don't think so.

The fianle last season was that episode where he was in front of that panel defending himself and trying to keep his job.

I liked this episode. I hated Embry last year, so it is great that he is gone. There was no mention of his character at all, was there?

For being a LT and squad leader, you figure that he would get an office. Instead, they give him the Les Nessman treatment.
