American Dreams 9/28/03 Season Premiere

One of the better family dramas around is getting no love around these parts.

Well, I finally watch the season premiere for its 2nd season.

JJ's adapting well to military life, showing leadership potential. Due to his insecurities of Beth living in a dorm with plenty of male and females floating around, he proposes to Beth at the bus station, she seemed happy and floored by his proposal.

Meg goes out on a limb for Sam, who got in a fight at school from being taunted due to the race riot at the end of last season, and gets shut off of Bandstand by her dad until she gets some perspective of how to go about "helping" Sam.

Finally the hinting of the Meg-Sam romance has been re-ignited with a simple touch of Sam's swollen cheek by Meg.

Patty comes across an article in Reader's Digest about a medical procedure that can help children who are stricken with Polio, like her younger brother Will, and brings this article to her mom's attention. Helen and Jack consult with their family doctor about the medical procedure on Will's behalf, but the doctor is skeptical and advises against it. Helen was crushed by the advice, but seems determined to go looking for another opinion (by calling the doctor which performed the medical "miracle" to talk about Will's condition and prognosis for success).

Rox says goodbye to Michael as he follows this dream (Joey Lawrence is now on a TV sitcom on WB) to the west coast to do some producing.

Henry Walker has to bail out his son, Sam, who is now on probation at his school. And Nathan gets out of prison, and Henry has a cold heart toward him because Henry has possibly lost being the new store's manager due to the damage from the race riots. But Henry shows that he's got a grumbling, but forgiving heart and picks up Nathan when he gets released from there.

Oh, Kelly Clarkson showed up playing Brenda Lee.

Anyhow, lots of subplots and guest stars in the coming months.

Great show, that deserves a DVD release. Plus 2 more reasons to watch.

Isn't Britney Snow just 17 year old? (Meg, the blonde on the right for those unfamiliar with the show)

Yeah, but Vanessa Lengies is 18, and as such ... I'd hit it.

Yes, that's why she has yet to make a BJ GOTW thread.
You can look, just not touch.
