The "Channels you receive" list nothing to do with channels you do or don't have subscriptions for. Think of it as a second 'favorites' list. You must go to setup to add/remove channels from that list (as well as for your favorites).

Tivo Central button -> Messages and Setup -> My Preferences -> Customize Channel

Until you set this, then your suggestions will record from all channels, including premium or Spanish language channels you don't have or want stuff recorded from.

You can always turn suggestions off, but some folks like them.

Ah, okay. Thanks. Here's another question. Is there any way to mute that annoying doink sound Tivo makes when I change channels, etc?

I've been muted since day 2.
