The Tourist (HBO Max) -- S: Jamie Dornan -- Limited series -- Premieres 3/3/22
Jamie Dornan stars as a British man who finds himself in the glowing red heart of the Australian outback being pursued by a vast tank truck trying to drive him off the road. An epic cat and mouse chase unfolds and the man later wakes in the hospital, hurt, but somehow alive - except he has no idea who he is. With merciless figures from his past pursuing him, The Man's search for answers propels him through the vast and unforgiving outback.
This is a 6 episode limited series that originally aired in the UK and Australia. Apparently it was a smash hit.

I've watched the first three (out of six) episodes. It's pretty good so far. The amnesia storyline in general is one that's been a bit overdone in fiction, but the cast is good and the story is engaging. The pieces of the mystery are being revealed slowly, so it's still unclear at this point exactly what's going on.
I haven't seen much of Jamie Dornan's other work, but he was great in The Fall and that prompted me to watch this. The actress who plays the 'probationary constable' was really good in the Netflix series Unbelievable. And Damon Herriman (the lead police Detective) is well known for roles in Justified, Manhunter, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and a ton of other work in US and Australian movies and tv.

I really enjoyed this one but I'm a sucker for any show that actually makes good use of its location. Lots of great sweeping views of the more desolate parts of Australia. Really strong performances as well and plenty of dark humor.

This seems to be a love it or hate it show, and I loved it. The dark comedy won't work for everyone but if you like Fargo-like quirky characters/comedy, you should like this. The acting is uniformly excellent. Bonus, it starts like "Duel"!

Surprised this series isn't getting more chatter here. Cranked through the 6 eps in a few days, and really enjoyed it.

Enjoyed as well. Not a huge time commitment and amazing cinematography!
Also, would highly recommend "The Outlaws" over on Prime...quality show as well, not getting much buzz.

I can't tell what tone this show is trying to strike some of it is obviously intended as comedic relief but some of it just seems so on the nose that I can't tell.

I really liked Season 1, but Season 2 went so heavy with silliness early on I still haven't gotten past episode 1.
