Just to put it in context, here is the info from tvguide.com's rumor guy:
Question: You have to tell us who's dying on Las Vegas! — Brittany Ausiello: Um, no I don't, Brit. I do, however, have to tell you that contrary to widespread rumors — not to mention an item in last week's AA — the major character that dies this month will not be murdered. But said death will come as a major shock. "I'll give you two words: Rosalind Shays," teases executive producer Gary Scott Thompson, referring to the L.A. Law villainess who famously fell down an elevator shaft in 1991. "I'm not saying it's an elevator, but it's completely unexpected." And trust me: That's not mere hype. Gary described the scenario to me, and I can safely say it'll be unlike any tube death we've ever seen. This might even top Shays getting shafted, especially since this exit is divided into two equally audacious (and yes, tragic) parts. Phase 1 takes place during the final seconds of the Nov. 21 episode, and, just when you think it couldn't get any more bizarre, Phase 2 occurs in the opening moments on Nov. 28. And to insure that the victim's identity remains a secret, "There have been three different endings written," Thompson says, adding that the license to kill came directly from NBC. "They really wanted us to do something big. Oh, and one other thing: The two-part episode marks the departure of another actor on the show. "Someone else," Thompson says, "will never step foot in the Montecito again." Hmmm... the Rosalind Shays reference really points to LFB. |

My money is on Jillian.
She's been billed as a 'guest star' for all 3 seasons and it would arguably have the greatest character impact (being Ed, of course). |
Please, please, please let it be LFB who dies. I can't stand her. In any case, should be an exciting couple of episodes.

I wonder who owns the hotel if LFB goes..I guess someone would be the owner in her will..Ed quit..wonder if she goes, Ed's in her will as somebody important (as important, or more than he was before he quit) so he comes back and does shit his way because he'd have control..

Delinda and LFB.... LFB and Delinda have a big fight about the Polyester Uniforms and Delinda tells LFB, I just wish you would disappear.....then when LFB gets stuck in her shower and falls down the drain (you know LFB is like smaller than a PVC pipe right?) she get stuck in the hotel plumbing where she drowns. Delinda feeling terrible about the fight vows never to set foot in the Montecito again because the ghost of LFB is there waiting for her.

I thought this was a decent ep, but I also think it's SO stupid that LFB would fight tooth and nail to get all these people, then hire someone that totally alienates them. I thought everyone should have walked out when Ed quit. They all pretty much came back for him. It makes for interesting tension, but it's a stupid thing for LFB's character to do.

This is from TVGuide last week. I posted this and quickly deleted it when I realized I misread a key part. Anyway, I am sticking with my Jillian guess.
Question: Will there really be a murder mystery on Las Vegas during sweeps? — Ryan Ausiello: (SPOILER ALERT) You've got it half right. Yes, someone will get murdered in the Nov. 28 episode, but there will be no mystery who did it. NBC will have my head if I tell you who gets whacked, but here's a hint: If the Vegas cast were divided into two camps — youngish and oldish — the victim would fall into the latter camp. And here's another potential clue: In that same episode, Dean Cain will reprise his role as Sam's ex and stay on for at least one more episode. Hmmmm.... Question: Who is going to die on Las Vegas? Finally got around to watching this episode and I think the whole "scam" was very obvious from the beginning.
Hopefully that will be the last time that we see RLC on this show again. As for Ed quitting, yeah, that storyline is not going to last very long. |

Hmm...interesting. I'm usually not a spoiler person, but I'm torn on whether I want to know this in advance. If someone finds out, could you post it in spoiler tags in here? :) I like reading the speculation, but I'm still not sure that I really want to know.
Anyway, with the clue from above, I'm guessing it's definitely either LFB or Jillian that dies. Either LFB dies and we get ANOTHER new owner, or Jillian goes and sets up a big Ed character arc. I like the second idea better, even though I don't like LFB and do like Jillian. It would just be more interesting, I think, and powerful to lose a character we care more about. |
I just watched How I Got Into College yesterday and it is a shame how bad LFB looks today, as she was hot in this (and Twin Peaks) and now looks dreadful.

My guess is that Jillian dies and LFB leaves the show, selling the casino to Dean Cain. With Ed quitting, she realizes that she can't run the casino by herself and sells. After Jillian's death, Ed will throw himself back into his work again and mend his relationship with Delinda.

As much as I love Las Vegas, I'm kinda worried about this episode. I hope it can bring the fun that I've come to expect.

I enjoyed it quite a bit - hell, I'd watch an entire season in '60s mode. It would be fun to see how many people that they take out. That, and Mike's hair. :lol:

Great change of pace for the show. Funny to see them all in a different era, but still revert to their normal "niches" in life. Good ep! Love the hair on Mike!!

I thought this ep was really fun. I found myself wishing for more 60's Las Vegas too. :) It was great when they did that shot of Mike and Danny driving down the old Strip. Good times.

I thought this was cool and it injected some originality into a show that's becoming predictable. I hope they make more 60s style episodes.

Did anyone else feel Ed and Sam's appearance's didn't fit? I know there is little hair to work with on Ed, but Sam looked normal to me.
