Thank you, MrX! It was driving me crazy!! I just got a chance to watch this last night, and the whole time I was thinking "Holly Robinson?" from 21 Jump Street, but I knew that wasn't her...

I liked the episode- even though it seemed to have no point being in the episode, I laughed out loud at the "Nice Kitty" scene with Mary and Nessa and the tiger. And the hairnets were priceless...

I don't know, it has been bothering me, too, that I can't place her. I want to say that I've seen her in a commercial for something (car insurance?).

Pretty boring episode overall, though the chinup line from the old guy to Mike was funny.

movieking 01-19-05 06:38 AM

"Are those buttons?" rotfl

Nice to see Big Ed turn the table on the nasty lady. Hardly any Mary, which was not good. I wonder what was making Gunther's burgers so awful? I thought that maybe he was tanking them on purpose to cancel the lunch servings, but the bodypaint solved that problem.

Did anyone notice when Mike was talking to the old man about moving to the penthouse that he was groping his wife's breast? At least it looked like it to me.

Xander 01-19-05 12:02 PM

I thought it was fine. It's always nice to see Ed get to be the tough guy. Wait, isn't that every episode? ;)

The mindless entertainment and the eye candy definitely keep me tuned in to this show.

Original Desmond 01-22-05 02:06 AM

From the first minute i knew what the story would be about

Still i love seeing hard arse Ed and still enjoyable viewing

The threads here have hardly any replies nowadays, is the show still rating ok ?

I think so, but as far as replies go the show has not done much that was worth talking about.. I mean the eps have still been ok eps but as far as "did ya see" sort of stuff the last few just don't lead themselves to any real discussion..

Vs say Alias starting back up or WTF is going on with Lost, Despo House wives etc.. Those have some "huh?" moments..

That tends not to be the main thing everyone talks about with Las Vegas.. No most of these thread about how hot one of the chicks looked on the show. I'm sure if Nikki Cox had come out in the body paint outfit we would be on page 5 or 6 by now. :)

movieking 01-22-05 07:14 AM

Nikki Cox in bodypaint?

Las Vegas "Whale Of A Time" -- 01.24.2004

http://img2.uploadimages.net/656389VEGAS.jpg

Spoiler:
Whale Of A Time

Ed (James Caan) receives an unexpected visit from a beautiful former co-worker (guest star Noa Tishby), whose mere presence puts everyone's lives in serious danger. Danny (Josh Duhamel) and Mike (James Lesure) are enlisted to protect the gorgeous woman with a mysterious background, and find it to be much harder than expected. Meanwhile, Delinda (Molly Sims) and Nessa (Marsha Thomason) compete for the affection of a high-roller. What once began as a friendly competition turns into an all-out war as the two vie to see who is more appealing. Elsewhere, a man's (guest star Jay Mohr) bride-to-be strands him at the altar, leaving Mary (Nikki Cox) to save his trip from being a complete disaster. Vanessa Marcil also stars.

Morf 01-26-05 09:25 AM

Hmm... were have all of the Las Vegas fans gone to?

Kind of a blah episode. The storyline with Delinda and Nessa trying to win over the whale was pretty boring. And Joy Mohr as the assassin? I knew the assassin wasn't going to be the whale that they went out of their way to show as sneaky and mysterious, but I didn't see the Jay Mohr thing coming until about 2 minutes before they showed it.

One part I did get a kick out of was when Mike made that 3D model of the casino to determine the trajectory of the bullet, and Ed was like "You did all of this just now?". Clearly, the writers are making fun of the fact that the computer and camera work displayed in this show is nothing more than fantasy.

B.A. 01-26-05 09:27 AM

I'm still watching it - there just isn't much to discuss about the show. It is what it is.

movieking 01-26-05 11:15 AM

Agreed.

It has pretty much hit its stride. Show hot girls. Have Ed save someone. Roll credits.

Chrisedge 01-26-05 03:20 PM

I think I'm deleting my season pass. Usually watch 24 / Tivo L.V. May end up just tivo'ing 24, and be done with L.V.

Too much of the same exact stories...

Add a "special" guest star somewhere in there and then ya got a show..

bothanspy 01-26-05 04:19 PM

This may hav been covered before, but is James Caan wearing a hairpiece in the last few episodes?

Patman 01-26-05 05:48 PM

I thought I had stumbled on an episode of "Alias meets Las Vegas" with this episode. How much tail does Danny get on a weekly basis?

I had a hard time taking Jay Mohr's character.

movieking 01-26-05 06:31 PM

Jay Mohr is annoying at the best of times, but as this character, he was off the charts.

I agree

Nikki and Vanessa are the only reason I still tune in

kramdenfan 01-28-05 10:28 AM

I really like Las Vegas; just started watching it this season. It's actually one of the shows we look forward to seeing, but don't usually catch it on Mondays because I work...

That being said, WTF was up with this episode?!?! I felt like I completely wasted my time!! We sit through the whole thing, don't find out anything about Lisa, and Jay Mohr gets away? I mean, I understand they're trying to build a bigger storyline, but that was just ridiculous.

Las Vegas 2/7/05 "Can You See What I See?"

Can You See What I See?
Ed decides to shake things up as the casino enters the slow season, so he orders the staff to swap jobs.

Geofferson 02-07-05 09:39 PM

Meh. Pretty weak episode tonight.
