They need to go with some plot where Ed's wife dies and he gets all rotted and starts being a realy hard a$$. That would make this show more fun.

geez shows how the show is going
LAs Vegas threads used to be 2-3 pages, now they are 8-9 posts! I agree another pretty bland episode, tis a shame there's some great characters being underultilised |
I have simply started to expect much less from this show, from what I initially did. It's average at best and this episode was no different.

I liked that they brought back the lounge singer. I liked the way Danny took the pickpocket out with his car, and I really liked how Sam immediately knew it was a pickpocket that took the money. Sugar Ray was a little lame though. No big. |
I never take part in the weekly threads since I always end up not watching this show until Saturday/Sunday and anything that I could possibly think of saying has already been said...
But, I agree...this ep was bad... Sugar Ray = Happy 30th anniversary :hscratch: Exactly why did Ed's wife have to meet with Mark all that week at his hotel room? To discuss Mark's placement of the chair that Ed was going to sit in on stage? |
The sad thing is this episode could have been great if Big Ed had just snapped Mark McGrath's neck ar at least given him a beating similar to the one he gave Carlo in The Godfather
|
This episode, "Semper Spy", is the repeat that NBC is airing tonight. This was aired back in the day when the show was pretty good. ;)
Doesn't look as if there will be another new ep until April 15th. There should only be three left in the season. |
just saw this ep for the first time the other night, as i'm a johnny come lately with this show.. definitely better than what's been on in the past few weeks.. the towing animation at the end was great! and the sam-factor was tremendous..

Las Vegas - 04/19/04
"The Strange Life of Bob"
Spoiler:
Cast: James Caan, Josh Duhamel, Molly Sims, Nikki Cox, James Lesure, Marsha Thomason, Vanessa Marcil, Christian Kane. Producer(s): Gary Scott Thompson, Scott Steindorff, Justin Falvey, Darryl Frank. Original Airdate: April 19, 2004 |
This episode doesn't sound like it's going to stop this shows downhill slide as of late.
I guess we'll see |
Actually, the Mike/Sam subplot was pretty amusing. The Danny/Delinda subplot was silly. The Nessa subplot was a bit painful given how it ended for her (I guess Lindsay from Angel was still doing a little more time in "hell").

I found the episode very entertaining.

Originally posted by Red Dog I found the episode very entertaining. Sam and Mike were hilarious. Nessa finally got her own story and they did a decent job of playing it out. Danny and Delinda were great together. Molly Sims looked pretty good - it's great how Delinda just pushes Danny's buttons any way she wants. He has no control in that relationship - poor guy. ;) Big Ed rules. What was nice about this ep was that there was no annoying guest star, etc. No single story that dominated the show. It worked - they should take notes. |
meh
The Nessa story was interesting, that was about it. What was up with the 24 style split screen's? |
Originally posted by B.A. Best episode in a long time, imo. Originally posted by B.A. What was nice about this ep was that there was no annoying guest star, etc. great episode. previews for next week looked interesting as well. |
oh, i just remembered one thing i didn't like about this episode:
random guy and girl (Danny and Delinda), chase this guy through his own house, into his backyard, where he is having a party with a bunch of people over. random guy proceeds to tackle the host to the ground, while the guests just look on?? that was a little farfetched, imo. |
Who had naughty thoughts watching Sam shove weiners into her mouth?

This episode felt like the Las Vegas of old. Many storylines, fast action, and funny.
I did find it amusing when Spoiler:

My power was out, so I had to watch it on my 2-inch color TV. :(
What was that picture website again? Did anyone check to see if it exists? |
Originally posted by Snowmaker What was that picture website again? Did anyone check to see if it exists? I also thought this was one of the best episodes in a long time. I actually like Danny and Delinda working together. They should keep that going for a while, especially so we can see her push his buttons. Sam can show wieners in her mouth as often as she likes, I'm fine with that. The incredible zoom in the desert was outlandish, but it felt like the Vegas of old. |
Originally posted by Jonny2k1 It was called Candid Girls of Vegas. I don't know if they gave the URL, but if they did I have forgotten it. I highly doubt it exists, or at least I doubt it before this episode aired. |
