While he's a very important part of this series, it wasn't <i>The John Ritter Show</i>. Like any actor, he was cast in a role that could have gone to someone else. Having seen the series, I don't see how it could have worked with anyone else nor can I imagine how it's going to work without him, but it's not like the series is some exlusive John Ritter project.

I've been forgiving of this idea since it was announced, but I just heard my first radio spot promoting it, and it stank of low-class exploitation. Not good.
