the west wing season premiere preview

ok, i know this thread may get locked, but here goes.

i managed to get home from work just now and catch the last few minutes of this week's show and then before the credits they show the preview for the season premiere. OMG!!! :jawdrop::jawdrop:

this looks soooooo good it is unbelievable. i thought that i was ready for the beginning of S2 but this looks a million times better. i hope that with sorkin gone wells can keep the show up to par.

Darn, I knew I should have watched the entire episode. It's only two more weeks, I can wait.

Is the premiere only 2 weeks away? I thought it was sometime in October.

[Goodman voice] If they find Zoe dead, I am going to blow something up![/Goodman voice]

Spoiler:
I hate to see Goodman go after this upcoming episode, but his two in the series certainly have been memorable.

Actually it was a little more menacing than that IIRC. I think it went :

"If they find Zoey Bartlett dead, I'm gonna blow the hell out of something. And God knows what happens after that."

What got me was Leo's line to the president:

Bartlett: What's Walken planning?
Leo: I'm not really at liberty to discuss that with you...

The line about having to write 2 speeches is chilling.

The part about a whole season without Aaron Sorkin behind the scenes is most chilling.

Remaining optimistic.......but on the whole I felt Sports Night season 2 lacked a certain spark and fear that the same will be felt here.

kevin75 09-11-03 10:22 PM

i think some of the reason that sportsnight season 2 was lacking was because sorkin was not only writing that but also season 1 of west wing at the time. even though most of what he does is brilliant, he can only stretch so far.
