If you could gaurantee 1 new show a nice long TV live based solely on it's previews & hype which one would you choose.

I would have to say "Coupling" I love the UK series & a the US version looks great. It would probally have worked better if it were replacing Sex & The City on HBO though (They could go all out with it then)

I've heard that the US version of Coupling looks awful. If they actually kept the same actors and writers from the Brit version, I would agree with you. Also, there will have to be some severe edits on the imported scripts to pass NBC censors.

Kind of hard to say w/o having seen anything yet, except for The O.C. Therefore, I would say The O.C. So far, I really like it, and, given its timeslot, it may need some luck (and mainly patience from FOX, something they rarely exhibit) to hang around for a 2nd season. I really looking forward to Las Vegas as well.

Yeah, I don't know how to answer without having actually seen any of the shows (past the screener pilots). Why guarantee the survival of a series if you don't know whether it's good or not?

That was certainly the case with the few minutes of footage I got to see. I love the BBC version, but don't have much hope for the US version.

Of course, the timeslot it has means it'll be around a while.

Without having watched any of the fall pilots maybe this thread should be retitled, "What new show do you most hope to be good?" For me that would be Stan Hooper. I love Norm and for the past couple years he's done absolutely nothing. I wish he would have at least done talk shows. He's by far my favorite talk show guest ever. Jimmy Kimmel's an idiot if he hasn't considered Norm for a guest co-host spot.

As for new shows I have seen that I don't want cancelled, I'd have to go with either Nip/Tuck or Dead Like Me. I would probably lean toward Dead Like Me since I think it will be easier for them to think of new storylines in the coming years than Nip/Tuck.

FX has already announced that Nip/Tuck is coming back for a 2nd season (15 episdoes) probably next summer.

I'm going out on a limb and saying "The Brotherhood of Poland, N.H.".

I'm confident that The O.C. will stick around, so I will have to say that I would guarantee the survival of Karen Sisco.

Is there another L&O or CSI spinoff coming this season? If so, I would pick that show for likely survival.

If not, then I'm not familiar enough with most of the new shows to pick the best candidate.

Do any new shows have chimps? Chimps are always funny.

Honk!
