Pancho Villa Movie on HBO - Great

Really enjoyed the HBO movie about Pancho Villa - "And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself" Found it to be real interesting, and Antonio Banderas was awesome in it.

I'm looking forward to catching this on one of the (many) repeats - it was favorably reviewed in many places, including Ebert & Roeper.

E&R was the reason I set the TiVo up this morning. I'll be checking it out soon.

Bucs vs. Eagles in HD is slightly more important for tonight though. ;)

I'll catch it on a repeat some night this week.

It looks great though.

I liked it. It was very interesting, and I didn't find that it lagged at all, which I find movies like this typically do. I really liked Alan Arkin in his role as well...

Damn that Pancho Villa!

He had Giles killed!

Movie was just ok for me, I think some parts did drag. Really intresting movie tho, orginality is one thing HBO is great at providing.

Giles was in this movie for about a minute and a half.

Is this based on a true story or something?

I saw this sunday night, i really enjoyed it very well done, the action was very cool.

This is based on the real filming of Pancho Villa done by the mutual film company.l I have no idea if any of the real film still exists it would be cool to see, maybe as an extra on the dvd.

Outstanding film - will probably get mucho Emmy nominations!

The voice-over at the end says that the film has been lost - I was also thinking all the way through that it would be a great DVD extra, but I guess we'll never get to see it.

Saw most of it... It was one of those after it began but before it ended.

Looked good, but some of the dialogue was too quiet or was inaudible. Of course I saw it after being awake for 17 hours.
