They're really minor. I'm trying to stay somewhat spoiler-free for BtVS S5 as well, and I went through all of my AtS S2 DVDs without feeling like I was spoiled. There's something big at the very end of the season finale that's alluded to, but I think everybody knows what that is anyway.

If you don't know what the ending of Angel Season 2 is alluding to, then stay the hell away from the season finale. Otherwise, there's nothing of importance regarding Buffy in any of the crossovers.

I held off on buying Angel Season 1 until Buffy Season 4 came out so I could watch them at the same time and the crossovers would work.
Are there any crossovers in Season 2 of Angel? Should I wait, or is it safe to go ahead and get Angel 2 now?

There aren't any true crossovers in Buffy S5/Angel S2, except for a pair of episodes where you see the same event from two different points of view. But as others said, avoid the last episode if you don't know anything about Buffy S5.

You don't really have to avoid the whole last episode, just the last 5 seconds of the last episode. Have the remote ready and stop it before they walk in the door of the hotel.

Crossovers usually consist of either a character or two from one show turning up on the other, or a storyline starting on one and ending on the other. The connections between these two episodes, however, were much more creative and interesting.
Watching them months apart will drastically diminish their effectiveness, IMO.

Yeah there isn't really anything to worry about with Angel Season 2. They stayed away from the crossovers as much as possible because Angel was more established by then. A lot of the season one crossovers were to get the show started. The one "crossover" they do have: Fool For Love/Darla is incredible. Like everybody else has said you want to turn the Angel S2 season finale off right before they walk into the hotel. Don't watch it until you see all of Buffy season 5.
