Does anybody actually like Wanda Sykes?
 

Could there be a more annoying woman on TV? The show got re-newed for another year...are there really people out there that find her funny?

I've never seen her show, but she's great on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Although I will admit her character is a bit redundant since they already have Susie to berate and cuss out everyone.

Ive only seen her on Curb....a little of her goes a long way.

My only exposure to her are the times she's guest co-hosted Good Day Live. She didn't bother me. In fact, she was quite funny.

As for Curb & her show, never seen 'em..

I think she's hilarious. She was great on the Chris Rock Show.

I really like her in small doses...

I don't watch her show, but I'm fan of her other work (stand-up, Crank Yankers, the stuff she's done with Chris Rock, Curb...).

I caught her show for the first time the other night, and I have to say I've seen far worse. She was fairly amusing, if a little forumulaic.

Ditto.

Her voice is annoying , I met her a few months back , and took a picture with her. I do have to admit that she is some-what attractive in person.

She was very funny on Chris Rock's show and her stand up is funny.

Not wild about her sitcom, but as a standup comic she kicks all sorts of ass.

Where do I start with Wanda??
I'll just comment on what's been pointed out already.
First of all, I've only seen her show once. It wasn't terrible. It was just Wanda being Wanda.
How do I know what that is? Well, I've seen her stuff on Comedy Central (her special was a dissapointment, but we live and learn), her guest spots on "Curb" (the mere fact she's even on that show is major bonus points in my opinion), and even her Crank Yankers stuff (I'm not at all a fan of that show, but she's just as funny as any of those other idiots).

But you guys are missing the true genius of Wanda Sykes.
The role that made her who she is today.

Wanda made her mark on the entertainment industry in the blockbuster hit "PootieTang" as the hillarious big-assed, booty shakin' 'Biggy Shorty'!!
The best part about this character, was her propensity to say "Ya dumb bastard!" and/or "You Jackass!" It was pure genius and it defined that character. Not to mention the fact that she was gyrating to a smooth beat in her Walkman every time they showed her.
What a great film...

Truthfully though, I think she's a much better writer than she is an actor, as her range appears to consist of yelling "bastard, jackass, and damn fool"...but hey, we all have our niche, right??

Her stand up is pretty good, and she had some funny parts on Crank Yankers.

Yeah, I've enjoyed her on the Chris Rock Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Drew Carey, Crank Yankers, Wanda At Large, Inside The NFL, doing stand up, and even The Downer Channel.

Same here can't stand the woman ever since she appeared on Inside ther NFL I have since avoided that show I find her totally annoying and obnoxious and I'm shocked people find her tirades funny perhaps they should get a grip.

She also played Oracle from The Matrix on one of the MTV Award shows :lol:

She is pretty funny, the Pilot for the Wanda show was on 2 weeks ago, the only one I did not see from last season... very funny stuff.

Didn't really like her character on Drew Carey, but her cameos on Curb your enthusiasm are pretty good...

Her stand up is great...and the show has parts of her stand up in the form of news stories...her origins on the Chris Rock show was great... I wonder if she will be doing coverage for the NFL again this year though.
