Do you think there will be a new Daily Show tonight?
 

Just wondering if the blackout would mean no Daily Show tonight? I think it would be funny if it was on and they covered it, but even if they have a generator would there be an audience? There may be safety reasons that would prevent them from having people the building, but it is taped when it's still light out isn't it? The webpage says Hillary Clinton and I think it would be tough for her to be there as well.

Nope. Check E! Online. Both Daily Show and Conan have been canceled.

Besides, I'm highly doubtful that they could really film a show using just a generator.

(It did just occur to me how spooky that the day Hillary was supposed to be on, the entire city loses power. Oooh!) -eek-

I had thought that the Daily Show taped earlier enough to not be affected, but maybe it takes a while to prep for air.

I know Conan tapes around 5 or 6pm so I'm sure tonight's show is being cancelled.

Usually the night shows tape around 4-6 so it would have been effected, if anything you can see that ABC is doing a lot of coverage on the whole event and keeping it up to the minute so who knows if there will be any "normal" type of programing tonight.

Damn, no Conan or Daily Show, now this East Coast **** is affecting my life! :)

Not the regular show, but they had some 'Best of Steven Colbert' on; he was in top form! :lol:

:lol: Colbert's impression of Stone Phillips was the funniest thing I have seen in a long time.

Even Conan w/ his 5 minute opening before sending it to a rerun was classic.

That was a great Conan opening...nice to see everybody out of character in an almost normal setting.

:up: It really was, I forgot I had a tape in the VCR recording something on NBC and it ended up recording Conan unbeknownst to me - I just found it about a half hour ago. That was really cool of Conan to do that. He again proved why he is the best in the biz.
