Sopranos character that died may reoccur in later episodes (spoilers in tv guide)

well according to tv guide, Gloria (the mercedes dealer who commited suicide off screen) may make a return sometime next season (or in season 6). They said the reason she may return is "well you never saw it"

Why not just give Tony a bump on the head and say that he dreamed the whole Gloria plot?

I rarely use this smiley, but now's the time --> -rolleyes-

Wait a minute....Melfie acknowledged at least once....this would be major suck if they took that tired road......

Chew 08-13-03 06:27 AM

Huh, interesting.

Of course, I'll have completely forgotten this little item by the time Sopranos finally returns. ;)

Geofferson 08-13-03 09:29 AM

Interesting for sure.

I'd welcome her back any day, she's a babe!

movieking 08-13-03 10:28 AM

She is a babe, but leave the returning from death storylines to daytime soap operas...

The article in TV GUIDE is being quoted out of context in this thread. The comments that Gloria may be coming back were made by Anabella Sciorra to TV GUIDE as an off-the-cuff remark when asked if she would return to the show..."Well, you never saw me die." The brief article goes on to say that Anabella is NOT planned to return in any of the episodes currently being filmed and that THE SOPRANOS have not tried to contact Anabella's agent.

This is just an attempt by the actress (with a little help from TV GUIDE) to "will" her way back onto the hit show.

Maybe if we're really lucky, the series will end with an autistic boy seeing somebody get whacked in a snowglobe, too.

St Elsewhere ending?

No, it's all a dream... like Newhart of Edia Falco's. She's still really the Oz prison guard dreaming about the other side of the law. HBO series synergy! ;).

Well, she already has been on the show post-death in one of Tony's dreams, so there could be more of that.

I wouldn't mind more of that since she was a great character and really messes with Tony's head. It would be really dumb, though, if they decided she didn't REALLY commit suicide (just because we didn't see it).

Whew! That explanation makes all the difference. I'm glad to see they won't bring her back as a living character.

If she were to make occasional appearances as a haunting vision in Tony's dreams, I woud have no problem with that. Even better, a naked haunting vision!

I'd welcome her back. I think the whole "we didn't see her die, so she must be alive" thing is viable, but I'd love to see her in some of Tony's dreams like we did last season. She definitely made Tony's sessions with Dr. Melfi more interesting.

Along the same lines, I'd love to see Big P return to haunt Tony's dreams like he did in the Season Three premiere. I have to assume Tony still has a lot of unresolved feelings about that. I mean, look how broken up he got over Tracy and Pie-o-My.
