Can she act? Jolene Blalock on SG-1

The lip-enhanced one will be guesting on Stargate SG-1 this Friday.

Can she act? Or is she just a pair of knockers?

Need you ask?? ;)

Almost didn't recognize her when I saw the preview. Must be the cheesy Trek wig that throws me off.

Wow! What knockers!

Patman 08-12-03 07:23 AM

Oh geez, those Flashdance leg warmers are making a comeback!

I probably would have missed it from the previews if they hadn't mentioned it.

I'm not looking forward to this. But I'm glad I'm forwarned, because right now I can't afford to buy a new TV.

AGuyNamedMike 08-12-03 08:14 AM

blech.

Michael Corvin 08-12-03 08:41 AM

I think I read it is supposed to be a recurring character. Someone else to look at other than Carter.

Given that picture, I'll stick with Carter. ;)

Amanda Tapping has a personality. Blalock has none.

If it’s the boob issue alone, I might agree. But there’s places I can go for pr0n if that’s what I’m after. Aside from the fact that Blalock couldn’t act her way outta a wet t-shirt, her posture is enough to make a momma want to cry.

Carter has this smile that makes me wanna – excuse me, I need to be alone for a few minutes.

Derrich 08-12-03 12:37 PM

For some reason, I think Carter is a hottie. Not that you'd know it from the fatigues. Maybe it's the personality. I have a weakness for smart chicks.

It's interesting to see all of the SciFi shows switching off actors everyonce in a while. SGI people have shown up on Andromeda, Enterprise actors on Sg-1, Mutant X actors on the home shopping network(just kidding)....

D

BizRodian 08-12-03 01:13 PM

Like they'd let anyone on Mutant X do anything else...

Agreed, Carter is good looking. I'm not a star trek fan so I haven't seen Blalock act, but she don't look all that bad. SG1 is dominated by men, what is wrong with having an added hottie to the cast?

Wizdar 08-15-03 10:24 PM

Well, I've got my answer.

-ohbfrank-

It’s a shame what they had to do with the “fight” scene in order to shoot around her. I don’t think I’ve seen anything this bad on the entire series.

Giantrobo 08-16-03 04:27 AM

Where are her breasts?

Chew 08-16-03 07:42 AM

Well, didn't care for that episode at all.

Interesting how Christopher Judge wrote the script. He got all the "action"

mikehunt 08-16-03 08:54 PM

I haven't been watching the new seasons on sci-fi, I need to get caught up with the other seasons first.
Blalock can sort of act. She did ok in the episode of JAG she was on before getting her role on enterprise

muggins 08-16-03 09:41 PM

Hmm...I found myself to be somewhat disappointed with this episode. I rather liked the other episode of SG-1 that Christopher Judge wrote, and I was expecting the same quality in this one.

Unfortunately, it just didn't work out for me.

DotGone 08-17-03 12:11 AM

Bleh, crappy episode. Blalock, can't act and not hot. If SG-1 wants to add a reocurring hottie with questionable acting skills to the cast, just bring back 7 of Tok'ra.

Derrich 08-17-03 09:26 AM

The entire ep seemed forced. Kinda funny how all of the characters semmed to step back and let Teal'c run things. I noticed the little jab Chris Judge put in against the reular writers. Teal'c said 'I've spoken more in the last to weeks than the last 2 years'. Way to be suttle there Chris.

The storyline was forced and didn't make a lot of sense. Teal'c looks down on the women because they kill Jaffa? He's been doing it for years. And a few eps ago he was looking to steal a symbiote for himself, and know he's 100% against harvesting symbiotes? The rest of the episode was a direct ripoff from Xena's amazon stories. Except Xena handled it better and had better looking women. And another thing, if these women are supposed to be fierce warriors, then how come none of them have any muscle tone. They don't have to be bodybuilders, but these women looked like they have trouble lifting a dictionary.

And then Teal'c wrote himself a kiss with Jolene Blalock. I can't blame him, but it just didn't seem right.

This season has been really hit or miss. And this ep was a miss.

D

theedge 08-18-03 01:32 PM

Yeah, it was just an okay episode. Not the best. Not the worst. I do like her arms, even though they did not showcase her boobies! :)

The hottest chick was the black girl who died tho...

Next weeks episode looks interesting, a beginning to the Atlantis storyline maybe...
