Blonde babe Elisha Cuthbert is to embrace a whole new side to her sexuality in the next season of 24 - she will fall in love with another woman.

The young actress plays Kim Bauer in the popular series and TV bosses have decided to cast a female love interest for the character.

A 24 source reveals, "Elisha will be going gay. It's one of the main storylines."

However, Elisha's character, Kim, will be wondering how to break the news to her screen dad Jack, played by Kiefer Sutherland.

The source adds, "She's always had boyfriends and Jack never suspected a thing."

this is how they are gonna try to make it up to the audience? i have a feeling this will just make the whole thing worse.


also, some might consider the title a spoiler.

I applaud this move towards diversity. I think they should really push the envelope- lots of hot, nude shower scenes with plenty of open mouthed kissing and fondling.

So instead of having like 5 or 6 dudes attempt to rape her in a 24 hour period, will it be 4 or 5 women who now threaten to rape her??? Oh poor Kim, the whole world wants to get in her pants now...


btw Im not trying to make light of rape, just 24's propensity to try and put Kim in trouble by having her nearly raped every freaking episode.

They finally found something interesting to do with her character.

Whoa, I would even buy the season set if it were Mandy and Kim...and the lion!

Not that's it's the best source in the world, but Ain't It Cool News said this rumor was false. Apparently they have read the first episode's script, or so they claim.

Maybe they don't start developing this until later in the show. AICN isn't always the gospel on rumors, true or false. :)

MINOR SPOILER

Don't get me wrong, all- I'd love to see Kim in some nice lesbo action, too- but I still want her character killed. Here's my idea:

8:00-9:00 (episode one): Jack is working on finding President Palmer's assassin. Meanwhile, Kim meets her new babysitting job's mom, only to fall in love with her, have 45 minutes of Fox footage that's "Too hot for TV!!!" 8:55, the husband walks in, is embarrassed by the fact that he married a lesbian, and shoots them both.

9:00-8:00 (episodes 2-24): Jack is working on finding President Palmer's assassin. Mourns Kim's death for a few minutes in ep. 2, but realized he needs to move on, and focus on his task at hand.

Kill her off! She was the low point in an awesome sophomore season!!

...but that's just my opinion! :D

how about adding:

6am-7am: An agent in CTU finds survellance tapes of Kim babysitting and the eventual seduction by the mother. He (and the audience) has the watch the complete tape to search for a clue to who really killed Kim.
At the end of the episode Nina walks into camera view! Is she behind Kims murder? or did she join in? Cliffhanger!
