Why would a guy want a girl who picked money over him?
|
Originally posted by Jackskeleton wow.. I tuned into this crap to be $#$ teased for an hour. Boooo! I know. I haven't been watching FLOM2, but I recorded it last night to catch Rob's re-introduction. Thank goodness I recorded it otherwise I would have wasted an hour. |
Originally posted by Patman What a lame filler episode. Here's who got the boot: Greg, who didn't even have a date at this segment in time, and he called her on it when she only spent time with Wade and the other guy that wasn't Eric or Greg (you can tell my interest in the contestants is pretty lacking). And now Rob is back to stir stuff up. It appears that he is not going to say anything about the money because there's some stipulation that he can't if he's to have a second chance to win Erin's heart (fat chance). I think it's funny that they brought Rob back, but I don't want to have to hear him talk anymore (mumble this, mumble that). |
Is it me or doesn't Eric remind you of a younger Donny Osmond
"And they called it Puppy Love"..:D |
Rob is gone. It would have been a GREAT finale if it was a choice between so-called potential love if she picked Chad or the 2 million dollars by picking Rob. Would she take a chance at love by selecting Chad? I dunno.
I really hope that Erin's intentions are good but she seems to mention the 2 million dollars constantly. What' s up with Erin's friend mentioning that Chad is just another typical guy from San Francisco. A typical guy from San Francisco would probably not be into Erin - but more into Boy meets Boy :) |
That's it! You nailed the $1million twist! Chad is gay!!! :)
|
Next week is 2 hour finale, some kind of FLOM-I reunion, then final selection. Wiil Erin choose Chad for whom she has hots, or Wade who she is sure will pick her over money? Will I watch it, or record it so I can FF over crappy parts? B, B, B, I know the answer to the 2nd question. This is so much worse than original you have to be having an extremely boring Monday evening to watch - last night I was, but I though about pushing "quick record" and going to bed.

I have a feeling Erin will pick Wade and get the 2 million instead of picking Chad who she's more attracted to, but will loose the money. It's the same dilemma Rob was in FLOM1. He had to pick between Paige who he's not as attracted to but who will pick him and so he will win $1 million. Versus, picking Erin who he's more attacted to but know that she will pick money over him.
I think Erin will be greedy and pick Wade and win the $2 million, then dump Wade later. She already dumped Rob twice, once in the 1st installment, and 2nd time last week's episode. I feel bad for Rob for being dumped twice on national TV. |
I will never, ever feel sorry for Rob. That guy is slimey. Besides, if you ask a girl out to the Junior Prom and she turns you down, would you hide out for a year and then ask her to the Senior Prom? If you do, maybe you're a hopeless romantic, but more than likely, you're just hopeless.

But Rob was presently himself as a slamdunk for Erin to get the $2 million if she picked him. But in the end, I don't think she trusted him enough to believe that he wasn't harboring some other plan (to win Erin's heart, have her pick him, and then choose the money over her, thus royally screwing her over). Plus, she's got puppy dog, Wade, as her safety valve should Chad prove too unpredictable for this decision of love or money.

That Gold digger is picking WAde.
|
 I still laugh when I hear her characterized as a gold digger. Any guy would likely do the same thing.
Oh Rob -ohbfrank- |
Erin is a hugh bitch. I've watched both of these shows since the beginning, and she is hard-core only about money. She'll step over anyone to get to it. Does doesn't even pretend...
|
so when is the final show? i havent watched this but i want to see what happens.
i hope the dude takes the cash and screws her over. |
I was only half paying attention last week. I thought it all wrapped up tonight.
However, zap2it and my local TV guide say tonight is a one hour reunion show. Per Zap2it, next week is two hour finale. |
It was nice to see Kelly and Laura during the reunion show - I missed them a lot. :D
My wife thought Rob looked much better w/ his hair cut shorter. Paige still has a major jones for Rob, it was obvious as hell. |
And so it finally ends...
Erin gave the heave-ho to Spoiler:

Originally posted by Patman And so it finally ends... Erin gave the heave-ho to Wade, the nice guy with whom she had zero romantic chemistry with. And she laid it all on the line for Chad, who almost gave Erin a heart attack when he was explaining his dilemna and appeared to want the money over her, but he was just messing with her mind, and chose Erin over the $1 million. Then Erin told Chad about the other scam, and said that she'd be happy to split the $2 million with him. In a strange and tacky moment, during some cuddling, Erin whips out a check with Chad's name on it and fills it out for $500,000 (what's up with the other $500, 000? Uncle Sam already take a chunk out of it, or was that the present value of the prize, roughly 50% of the prize over 20-40 years). Anyhow congrats to the happy couple. Did love really trump money? We still don't know because they got both. I still think anybody who'd give up a million (or even $500,000) for a stranger is an idiot. He was taking a huge chance that she wasn't just playing a game and even if they are in "love", the odds of it ending up in marriage, and a successful marriage at that, is remote. But he may have a great job and maybe the money doesn't mean as much to him as it does to much of us. |
looks like I was wrong :)
|
damn! so the money hungry bitch gets more? that sucks!
|
she got 5,000,000 more. I would have dumped the broad and taken the full million.
|
I'm pretty sure Erin was splitting the $2 million prize evenly with Chad, but the present value of it is probably $1 million, so that is what she split with him. Otherwise, they'd have to wait 40 years at $25,000/year to collect the entire prize sum. Erin probably opted for the present value of the prize. After taxes, both will probably clear $250k-$300k.

Originally posted by cdollaz Wait, she's money hungry because she chose $1,000,000 over a stranger that she didn't really like. Yeah, that's really money hungry. More like smart as hell. Yeah - I still don't get the whole money-hungry characterization of Erin. Now the next question - how long before Erin appears in Playboy? |
My wife was so happy that Erin chose Chad over Wade. I was a bit surprised that he didn't opt for the $$$ himself, but he still got some in return...
I'm glad these summer shows are ending so the fall program can FINALLY begin. |

I thought the ending was very tense especially when Chad said "nothing against you" but .... The show REALLY tried to stretch/draw every possible moment out. Of course I had to watch every moment of it. :) It was QUITE tacky when during the "magical" moment, Erin decides that was the right time to write Chad a check. TACKY.
