This guy says his plan to win BB is to "Pull a Keyser Soze." Now I'm pretty sure this is someone on DVDTalk but I don't think they're referring to that person, or are they? :confused:

And I think it's cool they're bringing the X's in last. Should be a good first episode, everyone standing around trying to figure out where the other four people are. :D

Report: BB 4 Contestant Apparently Withdraws
Only days before its fourth season debut, a Big Brother 4 contestant is apparently gone before the game begins.
Brandon Showalter, a 28-year-old computer engineer, was announced last week as one of the 13 players to seek the $500,000 top prize.
Saturday, reports surfaced online of Showalter's early departure from the CBS game. As of Sunday, Showalter's picture and biography had been removed from the official CBS website with no replacement listed.
Based on online comments from Showalter on a website (remarks since removed), he withdrew from the show after becoming uncomfortable with some of the activities expected of him by the producers. TVgameshows.net has been promised a statement from CBS spokesperson Chris Ender Monday morning.
Details were not immediately available concerning Showalter's situation. Despite controversy and past arrest records surrounding at least eight past contestants during the first three seasons, only Justin Sebik----the memorable knife-wielder----has been disqualified during the show's three seasons.
CBS and Arnold Shapiro Productions have been under fire in past seasons for weak background investigations of residents.
Four of the contestants remain unnamed, all either ex-boyfriends or girlfriends of the announced players. The remaining seven:

Showalter will be replaced with a fifth ex in the game.

This is getting lamer and lamer by the minute.

I could see how there'd be some good conflict if the ex's hated each other, and went to work on the others in an effort to get their ex's boot out of the house, but if it becomes a lovefest, it'll get old and stale pretty quick.

People have pulled out of previous BB at the last minute as well, just that back the nobody cared. I think Lisa (last years winner) was added within a few days of the show's premiere.

After a week of being sequestered before the show even begins, you'll know whether you can hack the lack of contact with the outside world.

But, the ex's idea totally blows.

The first Big Bro was a complete waste of time. It WAS a lovefest, but then the second one was excellent. This season could be the best or the worst yet. I'm hoping it's the best. I think if they have some ex's who hate eachother, the schiz-nit will hit the fan very fast, and I'll be lovin it.

It's true... With only 3 non-affiliated people in the house, the "singles" are going to have it tough... Of course, being in an ex-relationship isn't nessarily a plus, only a huge wild card that could fall either way... Still, it's a wild card 3 people don't get...

I think the 5 who go in later already know they've been picked as exes of someone inside... It's not like they would have randomly applied for the show in ex-pairs, they have to have been contacted by CBS... If they accepted, that would seem to eliminate those who couldn't bear to be in the same space already...

I've been waiting for this show to start, hoping it will be at least somewhat entertaining even with the wacky twists and stufff. I guess I'm bored with summer tv thus far, not that I'm watching all that much of it to begin with.

Waiting for this show too. I hate most (all) reality shows, but I've been hooked to BB since season 1. Even better than this cheesy show are the great DVDTalk BB threads. So, yes, Iron_Giant, that was a big ol' threadcrap and brings a halt to those who count on these threads for cheap entertainment. :)

I didn't want to judge this X factor thing until I saw it, and so far I am not disappointed. Good drama already, good looking people, and Julie Chen as always. Bring it on!

I do love the cockiness of the first batch....we going to knock them out in order, blah, blah, blah. Have they never seen the show before??? Nothing ever goes to plan!

BB4 held my attention tonight. It looks like Allison gets a little friendly later on with her ex whom she desperately wanted not to be there. The waiter (forget name) and his ex-fiancee are boring!
