Amazing Race-LEG 6 (7/3)
Sigh.... why do I have the feeling I know what the popular pick will be this week...
|
On the next episode of The Amazing Race:
Spoiler:
Also, TV Guide is listing the next couple who were eliminated from the Amazing Race on the Early Show. If you have been enjoying The Amazing Race, write a nice, polite letter to CBS thanking them for the show. Their address is: CBS Television Network 51 West 52nd Street New York, NY 10019 |
hey Mark , thanks for your work
|
I have to go with the Blondes.
After leg 5,they just don't seem to want to be in it anymore. The one is tired of all the fighting and lack of cooperation by her teammate. She thought they were elimated at the end of leg 5 and wished they were. On a happy note, both the teams I wanted to be out are gone. :D |
Tian & Jaree don't have their heart in the race anymore. They will loose next leg of the race.
|
Man, this one is anyone's guess. Because the teams have a long way to go to get to Bombay, there are various flights available (though they may be restricted to only a few airlines).
Checking current flight schedules from Amsterdam to Bombay for morning departures between 7:00 am to 10:30am, we have: SwissAir via Zurich Air France or Delta via Paris British Airways via London Alitalia via Milan Lufthansa or United via Frankfurt Northwest (non-stop) Because of the length of the flight (9-14 hours) and the different connecting cities, the earliest departures are not necessarily the earliest arrivals. (In fact, Northwest is amongst the last to depart at 10:35am, yet one of the earliest to arrive at 10:55 pm). I am curious about Spoiler:
Regardless of the flights taken -- and provided no one misses their connecting flights -- the teams should arrive in Bombay in the late evening or early in the a.m. In which case, there's probably nothing they'll be able to do upon arrival except wait for things to open the next day. So we'll probably have everyone bunched up and on an equal footing as they begin their India Adventure. That said, I'm thinking that Millie & Chuck or Kelly & Jon might be the next to go. Neither team has dealt particularly well with confusing situations -- it brings out all their interpersonal conflicts -- and India is nothing but a big ball of confusion. (Tian & Jaree also share that dynamic, but I suspect that they'll get their act together somewhat after their meltdown in Amsterdam.) Since I really can't stand Millie the Mole, I'm voting (hopefully) for her & the Werewolf to be eliminated. |
I voted Team Implants, simply because they've stopped trying and they've already used their Fast Forward.

thread bumper

There are some weak teams this season. The best team is a couple of middle-aged clowns! Seriously, these teams suck. Why can't anybody read a map!?!?
|
Tomorrow's episode will be so up in the air but I can't wait to see what happens.

why is the poll closed?
|
I'll guess the virgins.
|
The poll is closed because of the virgins?
|
I believe it's been set to close on the day the show normally airs because some folks may view it earlier in the days than others.
|
And another team gone....
Spoiler:
Tian and Jaree really took some positive steps this week. |
I like this show, but I'm getting sick of every week they have a event that they have to wait 8 or 9 hour before they can even start. Reichen & Chip took a chance on that other flight and it paid off, putting them in the lead when they got to India. But did it help them when they have to wait 9 hour before the studio opens so they can get the next clue and have everyone catch up.
I just wish they wouldn't have so many levelers on the show. |
Actually, about a day before the show airs.
|
I kinda felt bad for the supremes. I totally expected their "salvation" would come as a "bye week"

The bunching up is starting to get annoying. A team that takes a risk to possibly get ahead should be rewarded and not have to be bunched up with everyone else before they can continue on. Still, the show is entertaining and the best of the reality shows out there. |
This is the first time I've watched this show and I'm enjoying it
One question how do the fast forwards work...how come only one team uses them. Is that some rule? Whats to stop a couple teams from trying to get one during an episode |
Each team can use a fast forward only once in the race.
Only one team can get the Fast Forward on each leg, so if multiple teams are vying for it, only the first to finish gets to use it...the other teams have to go back through the regular challenges. |
That was a good episode except for the re-groupings of course. The train ride was hilarious.
I'm glad the Supremes were eliminated. They don't need the money. |
Next week is totally a non-elimination leg. They're due.
|
Last year, they didn't have a non-elimination until Leg 8 and then had another on Leg 9 (thereby saving Flo & Zach). Hopefully, they'll vary it this race and not have two in a row.
