When did Sci-FI Start...

Showing the Freaking Flintstones on the network?

I realize Bonnie "Buzz-Kill" Hammer is busy destroying the network, but the Flintstones? AND THE SEQUEL LATER??

:yack:

Perhaps they show The Flintstones because it's a world where magic and superstition are real!

Is it oar? Since they did battlefield earth in its oar!

Jason1973 06-26-03 07:58 PM

Hey, Braveheart isn't science fiction! What's going on? Has the world gone mad???

DGibFen 06-26-03 09:04 PM

No, Flintstones (the three minutes I sat in shock and awe) was not in OAR.

Jackskeleton 06-26-03 10:30 PM

Maybe we should rename it to Spike TV or something similar?

Wizdar 06-27-03 08:15 AM

Braveheart? When did they start showing that? I'm pretty sure that's not Sci Fi.

Next thing you know, they'll start trying to rework some old tired schtick like Buck Rogers or something...

bboisvert 06-27-03 08:30 AM

Wow, next thing you know... they'll be cancelling Farscape and replacing it with a bunch of lame crap.

Oh... http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=282866

Hello?!?!?! Gazoo! He's a Martian. That's Sci-Fi. Wake up people, it's not hard to draw the lines here. William Wallace wouldn't have gotten anywhere without the help of Gazoo.

C Roberts 06-27-03 09:18 AM

William Wallace saw dead people. Or at least his dead wife in a dream and then a pain-induced hallucination. LOL

Its not the science-fiction channel anymore. Its USA2 now.

They should start using that.

Or, maybe, we should start using that here... ;)

I watched the entire "Taken" series there which was awesome. And I always catch the Mystery Science Theater episodes on saturday mornings.

mwj 06-27-03 08:38 PM

The number of MST3k episodes still shown are really dwindling. Too bad because there are many I have not seen.

I hope it was worth it. A great night of sex with a hooker doesn't feel too good when you wake up with an itch that won't go away.

I'd love to see a MST3k episode that takes place during one of Bonnie's programming pitch meetings..

Buck Turgidson 06-28-03 12:47 AM

I cruised past that on my way to TBS that night, and after again experiencing the agony of seeing Rosie O'Donnell dressed as Betty Rubble, immediately thought "das is either laughing bitterly or fetching his Smith n' Wesson about now...maybe both."
