Favorite HBO Original Show?

My Wife and I were debating our favorite HBO shows... this is a tough one! They have had way too many fantastic original series.... I'm interested to see what everyone thinks!

For me, it would have been the Sopranos up through the 2nd season. After that I feel it went downhill. My vote goes to Oz- it's always been well written, well acted (by mostly all unknown actors!), and an exciting story line

My favorite would probably be Mr. Show. The best is probably Six Feet Under, and that's a pretty bold statement considering the level of competition.

I can't believe I forgot about Mr. Show until das mentioned it. It's definitely my favorite and I believe it's the best too. IMO, comedy is much harder to do than drama, so that gives it an edge over SFU. Plus, I didn't like SFU's second season at all.

Mr. Show and Dennis Miller Live should be on there instead of Arliss and Dream On.

Mr. Show would be my favorite...followed closely by Sopranos and Dream On. I voted for Sopranos since Mr. Show wasn't a choice...

The Sopranos.

I wonder if Dream On will get any votes. I don't know of anyone that ever liked that show.

Doesn't look like Mind Of the Married Man is getting any love either.

I liked Dream On, but definitely not one of the best HBO shows...

I voted Oz...I had never even heard of the show till 2001. I got the first season on DVD cheap cause I wanted to try something new. I watched it and got obsessed with the show. Thanks to Kazaa I've seen them all now. Can't wait till they're all on DVD.

Heaven forbid we show real live male genitalia on cable television.

Can't decide! Too many good shows to pick from.

Comedy: Mr. Show and Curb
Drama: The Wire and Six Feet Under

no Real Time votes, huh?

Oh, hardly.

"Real Sex" is about as exciting as watching anything on the Playboy channel - ie. "not very."
