CSI: Miami (05-19) Season Finale...

Since the other thread was about the time change, I start this one to talk about it...

Eisha Tyler and D.B. Sweeney guest star...

Goes back tothe story of Lucy Creighton, the little girl how was kidnapped by Kroner the sicko who cut up his finger prints.

Frank (the desk jockey from ER) also guests as the dog handler.

Pretty creepy episode so far.

They shot Eisha Tyler in the head!

Now if only the Friends writers had thought of that!

Other than that its a pretty disturbing episode.

"Where you're going, you'll be the bitch"

Pretty good episode.

The shootout in the beginning was pretty funny. The one convict is hanging out of a moving copter holding a machine gun with one hand and can still take out a guard on top the building. Then you have Horatio shooting the helicopter instead of the escapes.

Calleigh went to a gun store and found the one guy, I can't remember his name, who shot the woman in the SUV.

Horatio found the girl alive and found out Kroner was going after her cousin. They find him at aquarium as he's grabbing the girl. Horatio chases him and they wind up in a parking garage. Horatio shoots him as he's about to kill the girl and Kroner goes over the side and Horatio saves him.

The show ended with Horatio putting on his sunglasses.

This episode started out so strong, and then sort of whimpered to the finish line.

I still have a hard time taking Ylena seriously as a cop.

Calleigh took down her perp way too easily.

That child molester was truly warped and sick. Why didn't Horatio just let him go.

She's OK. I think they are putting her in more episodes to balance out the loss of Kim Delaney.

As for the episode, it was decent. Agreed that a guy on a moving chopper could in no way shoot a guard on a tower. Also, it seemed like Horatio got like 20 shots out of that handgun.

I liked the ending, though, how they were showing everyone doing something different. A good way to close the season.

I have to agree with something Patman said last week. I just can't get into this show, even in HD. I watch the original every week and love it, but the Miami version is just missing something. The cases are fine, the actors are fine, and the picture is incredible, but I still find myself doing other things while it's on and barely paying any attention to the show.

Last night I even did laundry

Yeah, maybe it's the timeslot, after 10 p.m. I'm getting sort of tired, but the show just isn't as compelling (or I'm just too tired to care...I must be getting old).

Anyone who watches CSI:Miami and ISN'T watching Without a Trace is missing something. WAT is ten times the show that CSI:Miami is. WAT's child abduction/pervery episode was much more powerful than CSI:Miami's.

What I think the problem is with CSI: Miami is that the main surrounding characters are just so ... bland.

I thought last night's season finale was one of the best of the season. I'll admit that I watch this show week after week because it is just so preposterous (and it's fun counting how many times Horatio puts on his sunglasses).

Last night's episode included all the cliches that make this show the over-the-top show that it is.

Hey Geofferson,

You noticed that too!!..I think it's part of Caruso's method acting techniques.

I love how he's intense and slightly over the top at the same time

One thing I didn't care for is the unrealistic way they found out that the RV was at the orange bowl. For that shawdow thing to work that database what have to have a picture relative to every single parking lot space to find the exact match.

Edited to add

What was Horatio looking at the final moment of the show?
did anyone catch that quick look at the camera? whats up with that..

The way they found and eventually tracked the RV was probably the most unbelievable thing I have ever seen.

As for Horatio at the ocean washing his hands and looking at the camera - that was just pure Caruso baby!! (in other words, completely pointless)

Your post is what makes this show so great. I can suspend reality for an hour and watch these clowns solve impossible cases and act preposterous in doing so.

you would think a show that is about forensic science would try harder to not make these preposterous errors. Its one thing for a movie or even other action/dramas to make them, but for CSI:Miami to get CSI wrong really stinks.

LOL at the pure Caruso! Ya Gotta love that guy
I like CSI better but I enjoy Miami

I saw that too and wondered if he did that because he's reading these threads on how much people make fun of him for looking off to the sunset every episode.

He was looking at us.
