American Idol Week: The Recap Show! (05/19)
 

Fox is beginning their 3-night run of American Idol so that we can all get our season ending fix of this show.

Anyone looking forward to this? From what I hear, it'll be singing and interviews and reruns and more Idol "Rejects"!

I hope we see the senesitive guy with the ripped jeans again.

By the way, I'm recording it and watching it later, since the season finale of Everwood is on tonight... which reminds me, I need to start a thread for that too.

I'd rather see singing than signing, but hey...that's me.

Actually I can't think of anything I want to watch less than this. Just do the final show and have it done with.

This might be amusing if it consisted soley of Simon's harsh criticisms. But since it won't I'll skip it as there are too many competing TV shows I want to watch tonight.

I laugh when it comes to the end, and Julia DeMato gets to sing her one syllable.

I'm glad to see Vanessa Olivarez back on the show, I liked her.

I wonder why Josh wasn't there though..

Ryan said that he was called back on active duty.

It's my understanding there was some type of a scandal. Apparently AI is trying to keep it hush-hush, but after the last show, Josh reportedly left his wife and has been linked romantically with Kelly Clarkson!

Heh, Kimberly Caldwell has a minor gig as a Fox sport reporter girl, and on last night's show, she admitted to knowing nothing about sports. I guess Flexibility was her major strength after all...

Didn't catch the first 17 minutes of it (I forgot all about it, but luckily TIVO was on FOX anyway, and I was able to record the rest).

Where has Vanessa Olivarez been? She's been the only one (besides Corey) that's been left out of the group songs so far, and I thought maybe she did something (like the PETA spread) to tick off the AI producers.

Trenyce looked a little ticked when Ryan abruptly cut her off to give Ricky a chance to speak.

Question to Ruben: If you could have a duet with anyone, who would it be?
Ruben: I've always wanted to sing a duet of this particular song with Tamyra Gray...
So you could sing with anyone, and you want to sing with last year's fourth place winner? How scripted is this show?

Loved seeing the early stages of Clay. They obviously couldn't do the same with Ruben, who always looks the same. Though he did look huge last night... maybe it was the white?

The war's over kids and Josh isn't around. Can the false patriotism and sing a better song.

Ruben's high school football coach calling him "Big Stud" was more information than I needed to know.

Maybe Vanessa is going to join the tour with the other finalists. With Corey out and Josh back in active Duty, that opens up one - two spots for her.

I heard Josh has been allowed by the army to go on tour. I hope Vanessa will tour also because she certainly deserves so.
