Great thread!

Cindy was a whiny little ...
Jan was the middle child, and I am sick of hearing about it every episode.
Marcia had some decent storylines, and she was hot...

Bobby was just like Cindy
Peter was really funny, and kind of a wise @$$
Greg was full of himself..

My vote goes to Peter

I have to admit i felt bad for the dad Mike Brady (Robert Reed).

I've never seen someone go through sooooo many hair styles in 6 years..

Hey, I was going to vote for Oliver as well! Let's face it, Oliver was a smart-ass, second perhaps only to Alice. All the other kids were way too goody-goody for real life.

BTW, anyone remember when Oliver (Robbie Rist) was a guest-starring delinquent on CHiPs?

Not necessarily. That's the bad rap the show got - too Brady for real life, but I think that good families have the same type of relationships between parent and child as the show did. In essence, deep down. We just don't say "far out" as often.

Seven years ago, (!) I voted for Bobby. I don't know why. But after seeing a bunch of syndicated reruns in the meantime, I am now bumping this thread to declare that I change my vote to Peter.

I don't know what I was thinking. Bobby was fucking annoying.

Interesting bump!

Haven't thought about this show since Maureen was on VH1 and Dr. Phil. At times she stated she had a crush on all her brothers. Hopefully the Bobby period was when he was older?

I think the cast was suppose to do the Today Show very recently for a ton of money, but Eve Plumb screwed them out of it -- by refusing to appear with Maureen. So, they canceled it altogether! Supposedly, Florence turned it down too! Who knows... Flo did come out to the public with her disapproval of Christopher Knight's relationship. Mike L. in jail. Everything seems to be in turmoil.

(Well, Eve did originally refuse that horrible '76 variety show to move on to other things like playing Dawn the prostitute. Only that hefty paycheck brought her back for Brides in '80. Supposedly, other members of the cast are unhappy with her for refusing The Today Show.)

1. Peter (cool cute kid)
2. Marcia (very cute teenager when she got older; not so much during the jr. high years)
3. Jan (she could use a joint, but probably the most real and with it.)
4. Carol (kind of lazy if you think about it until '88)
5. Mike (well, he hated this show with a passion, but he wasn't a bad actor)
6. Greg (Greg as the teenage heartthrob was kind of unrealistic)
7. Bobby (well, I could see jail coming for him 20 years ago)
8. Alice (kind of like that annoying popular neighbor on sitcoms; predecessor to the Miller Boyette lineup)
9. Cindy (awful annoying character -- horrible baby talk and lisp. The worst character. Even Jennifer Runyon, the 80's star of guest spots, couldn't save her.)

I'll always remember the episode when they installed the pay phone. Mike answers the phone and says they have the wrong number. When asked who it was, he says, O'Brian's taco and tamale shop! O'Brian's!!

My 2 kitties are named Greg and Marcia since they're brother and sister. I was gonna name them Ryan and Sharpay after the brother/sister pair in High School Musical, but thought that was a little too soon. (High School Musical will be in the same ranks as The Brady Bunch in 20 or so years!)

I just read this thread from the beginning, noticed the typo in the OP and the correction in post #2. Was the edit feature not available in the 2003 version of DVD Talk?
