Lucky (05/13)

man, that was a great episode. it didn't have any really funny moments, which is quite the turnaround from what it usually is. the scene at the end when he's talking with his wife was fantastic. I hope this show gets renewed for next year.

It was okay - I guess I prefer the comedy. The last 2 have been my least favorite.

No funny moments? Nothing like past episodes, but when Lucky's two (2) friends get their cars and are in the wrong ones and after the previews for next week the two (2) in the pool looking for a "shiny" those brought some laughter to an otherwise very "serious" life lesson episode.

I also thought this was a good episode. It showed a serious side to Lucky and it gave us a little more info on his wife. This show is very entertaining characters are funny and make the show fun to watch.

very predictable but awesome episode.

my only problem was the guy-playing-craps-and-wins-every-roll-and-the-crowd-goes-wild-behind-him cliche that has been done a zillion times on tv. i was hoping (literally begging to my tv set) that "lucky" would not stoop to that level, but they did.

This was IMHO one of the best episodes yet. Showing a deeper level than the typical get hit by a car to make some money kind of things the show has done in the past. I expect the show will be back next year it seems to have been well recieved.

Anyone know how many episodes are left?

It might be a misprint, but the TV guide thing on my Yahoo page says that tonight they are playing episode #11. They played #6 last week, so if this is correct, they are playing them out of order and there are at least 4 they skipped and could be played later.

So they are playing them out of order. I was wondering because several times a character has appeared or something is alluded to that seems out of place or unnanounced and I've wondered if I missed something. Also, Lucky met the blonde one day episode and then they were suddenly an item the next with no build-up at all. This explains a lot of the unevenness of the show.

Why the hell would they play the episodes out of order?

Lucky met the blonde in one episode, then in the next they were in a deep relationship, and sometime later they showed an ep with what appeared to be him asking her out for the first time.

The episodes are definitely not in production order. I'm guessing they rearranged them to put more "funny" ones up front and get people hooked on the show.
