I don't think that Sherry is behind it. I think that she followed her leads and it lead her to that appartment as well. Her and Jack will team up to get more info, stop the attacks, and everyone will live happily ever after (except for Kim, who will develop a split personality and kidnap herself)...

Is anyone else dumbfounded that the President of the United States was forced to defend himself without any assistance by anybody whatsoever? I contrast this show to The West Wing (entirely different premise, I know) where Bartlet has tons of people, really smart people, fighting for him every step of the way. Where the hell is the President's staff? Do the writers want us to believe that Lynn and Mike were the only two people he relied on directly? That there's no one on his staff who remains loyal and can help him? Nonsense.
The manner in which Palmer was "removed" from office is the most unbelievable part of this show. I can overlook it, however, because it's so much fun. I really, really hope that at the end we get to see the hammer of justice come down on Mike, Sherry, Stanton and the others who were involved in the conspiracy.
I agree that the VP may not have been in on the conspiracy, and may be a tool himself. I'm not sure about Chapelle, though - I think he's dirty.

Kim: "We're just headed back to go pick up my stuff."
Gee, I wonder how THAT'S gonna go.
That cop with Kim is doomed DOOMED! Hanging out with her is more dangerous than wearing a red shirt on "Star Trek."

At the end of the episode, I so wanted Palmer to launch into a Chris Rock impersonation: "It's because I'm black, right? I knew it! Let a brother become President and everyone tries to get me on something. It's like I'm Bill Clinton....."

Good episode, except one thing.
Last time we saw Kim: "We know you didn't do it, we're looking for the dad right now."
Kim: "Daddy, I love you! I've been kidnapped like 26 times in 2 days. I'm just heading over to evil dad's house right now. What's that you say? No, they haven't caught him yet, but there's no way he would ever be AT HIS HOUSE."
I was when she said that.
Well, that and the general absurdity of the removal from office.

Some drama, to be sure, with the cabinet meeting (by video? Not enough cohones for a face-to-face?). But I’m wondering why Palmer didn’t ask where Lynn was during all of this. I mean, she’s about the only one he’s been able to trust throughout. That would be like not noticing that you were suddenly missing an arm or something.
The whole “after the nuke” seems to me anticlimactic, but on the other hand I don’t see how they could possibly sustain that for the whole season. The whole we’re going to war, we’re not going to war, we’re gonna take over the White House seems a bit contrived and I’m losing interest.

I kinda dug Sherry appearing at the end. I also think that she was following her own leads and will ultimately help Jack.
oh the many faces of Lady McPalmer!

Gotta agree that Sherry is about as unpredictable as you can get.

Pretty good, not a lot of action, but good tense moments.
I know what the Constitution says, but I don't see anything in there that then gives the VP power to have the President escorted out and HELD by the Secret Service and military personnel. The President is not "under arrest" when this clause is exercised, as far as I can tell...
Cool twist at the end, but there sure is a lot to wrap up in the next three measly episodes.
Run, Kim, run--back to the house of the madman...

Interesting how contradictory the ending was.
Sherry comes in, apparently holding a gun, but yet she calls out, "Alex?" in a very familiar way, as if she knows the guy... Interpret that as you will.

Every time Kim has been in a car with a police officer, that officer has died.
In season 1, the cops who took her and her mother to their house died. The cop who was taking her back to either her house or CTU was killed when the Drazens attacked.
This season, the cop who was taking her and her boyfriend to L.A. died in the accident.
And now, this dude who is driving her back to the house is going to die as well.
Did I forget anyone?

Great episode though. Good dialogue, good tension.
I hope Sherry gets punched by Palmer and then by Lynn (after Mike gets kicked in the groin by Lynn).
