oh also this happened in ultimate spiderman, but instead of superman it was spiderman. flash picked on parker, so parker hit him and broke his arm, then his parents got sued and he became a wrestler. I dont know it just reminded me of this. Similar

Damn!!
I was hoping Spoiler:

Solid episode, great on all levels!
"Your good old boy days are over!" Lana KICKS ASS! Lex moves closer to the dark side! And anybody else think that both Lana and Lex saw just a little too much of Clark in action? Lex was looking when Clark rushed in and saved him, he was bound to see the blur at least then, lo and behold, Clark comes bounding in to see how Lex is. Given all Lex has on Clark already, this is not too hard for him to figure out at this point in the series. Another question: When will the Kent's come to terms with the fact that Clark did superhero stunts in front of Lionel all the time he could see? |
Whoever played the sheriff and the stalker could not act to save their lives...
Michael Rosenbaum is the best reason to watch this show. He does wonders for the Lex Luthor character. Glad to see the beautiful doctor make it through the episode alive. Does Lana practice that face for every episode? You know, the one where she stares at Clark w/ scared shock and wonder? |
This show has two of the best looking brunettes on tv. Kristin Kreuk and Emmanuelle Vaugier. I hated the acting of the sheriff lady. This was very much like a spiderman story. Lana can kick my butt any day

Lana

last week when they started to have a new ep from the long break they played a little vid of upcoming episodes right before a episode and I saw a 2 sec clip of lana punching a bag and i started cracking my ass up, i was laughing so hard on the ground i was like WTF lana fighting. uhhh, ok now i know that it was true and its was for this episode. but she did look good as usual.
lol, omfg i just saw lana fighting and doing a spining roundhouse jump kick with like only a day or two of training. oh man, the last time i laughed this hard during a smallville ep was when chloe was reading her poem/ letting her heart out to clark and he said lana. omg, im still laughing after that kick. doh, i accidently forgot to turn off the tv and saw the teaser for next weeks ep, damn that looks awsome. |
Wow, I bite my words from last week. Lana didn't act ungrateful or bitchy towards Clark once, really.
I wish I could learn to fight like that by training for a day or two. Kickass. Sleepy now... |
lana learned a little too much karate in too little time
I took karate 3 times a week and we didn't start kicks like that for some time |
Spoiler:
Is it me, or is this some foreshadowing of something really bad happening to Helen in the future that pushes Lex over the edge? With quite possibly Clark having to do something with it? |

I have to admit I didn't care for the sheriff too much either. With me, she reminded me quite a bit of the sheriff from SIGNS. I just kept on expecting her to blame it all on a six foot tall Scandiavian Olympian for some reason.

I don't know what song that was at the end, but it sure could've used more cowbell!

You gotta love what lex said... "You seem like a simple man, You wouldn't want to complicate your life!"
btw next week esp LOOK's great. |
Did Buffy the Vampire Slayer come to Smallville?

I also think something bad is going to happen to Helen because, well, she knows that Clark is something extraordinary, and we all know that people that know Clark's secret (who aren't cast regulars) usually die or go into comas. So given that scenario, and Lex falling bald head over heels over Helen, and if Clark somehow gets the blame for Helen's demise, well, that's definitely a big enough event to cause a huge riff in their relationship and could easily put Lex on the path of villainy and evil.
I was surprised at Helen's quick recovery after getting thrown around Pathology lab like a rag doll. Sign Lana up for Black Sash! Hated the new sheriff in town. I was hoping the resolution with the punk's lawsuit would have resolved more cleverly than to just have Lana kick his neckbrace-wearing butt. The whole "citizen's arrest" pursuit was just odd, it felt so out of place in the town of Smallville. It was pretty grisly too (the guy i the shower tub was all cut up around the neck). This show can be pretty dark when it wants, give it that edge. |

Bad thing happens to Helen. Lionel Luthor is responsible. Lex kills or is responsible for Lionel's demise. (calhoun07, this solves your question as well as providing the change to evil Lex). Lex takes over LuthorCorp. Evil ensues. The change in Lex's demeanor is sufficient to cause a rift between him & Clark. Besides, it is Superman that Lex absolutely hates, not Clark. Clark is just an annoying reporter pest (someday) while Superman is his arch enemy. Michael Rosenbaum is excellent again. Pete got his one line, Chloe maybe two or three. I'm happy. Much better than last week and looking forward to next week. |
especially since it just set Lana up to be in the lawsuit too. She attacked a guy in a neck brace. That won't look good when the jury decides how much money to award.
the standard "private investegator with a video camera" is the solution they should have used Originally posted by Patman Hated the new sheriff in town. I was hoping the resolution with the punk's lawsuit would have resolved more cleverly than to just have Lana kick his neckbrace-wearing butt. |
All they needed to do was cut to a camera (from Chloe, perhaps, or have Lex order camera surveillance for the Talon for security reasons) recording the events in the Talon between neckbrace dude and Lana. That would have not only exonerated Lana for kicking the dude's butt up and down the store, but also give evidence for a countersuit for Clark. :D

After thinking it over, why is the new sheriff hated so much? Considering what a blind eye EVERYBODY in Smallville turns when it comes to Clark being in all these places where strange things happen, along comes a woman who actually SEES him do something out of the ordinary and is on to him from the moment. And she wastes NO time. She adds up all the things about him rather quickly and knows there is more to him than meets the eye, and confronts him about it. Nobody in Smallville has had the balls to do that yet. I say all the power to the Sheriff, she can go with her bad self, and Clark having a home town nemesis is not a bad plot idea in the slightest.

Last night's episode was a notch above last week's. I really liked the parallel story with Lex and Clark, with both of them in similar situations, and each almost going over the edge to protect the girl they care about. Clark does it out of defense and protection; Lex's m.o. is nothing more than revenge, killing the person as the only solution.
Thought the new sheriff was meant to be unlikeable. Clark pretty much could save the day without that much notice, but now he has someone keeping a watchful eye on him. The "he likes to help people" explaination from the Kents obviously didn't make any impression on her. I think the season finale will probably deal with Martha Kent's pregnancy and something with Helen, since these were some of the key story additions to this season. Helen's an interesting character. Although Lex has softened up a little by having the person that he thinks is the love of his life, it hasn't taken away his evil streak. And it seems that he will eventually lose her--it's going to be one of several events that make him the sinister person that we all know. Lana can use me as a punching bag the next time she needs to do warm-ups. :) She looked really hot last night while she was...hot. |
Okay does anyone know the song that played at the begining of last weeks episode? It started with the WOO WOO keyboard playing WOO WOO.
It didnt say at the end, and i know it usually does. Ty |
The song was by the Transplants.. The title is Diamonds and ... something.. sorry.
I thought the new sherrif was interesting for reasons stated above, but I hope they don't over-use the character. Overall, a very good episode. I'm glad the writers are staying away from the kryptonite-afflicted citizens plotlines. |
I thought it was a good episode - except the last 5 min. or so - things were a little too conveniently tied up - Lana magically empowers herself, Helen is fit as a fiddle and everything is tied up with a marriage proposal and a kiss.
Maybe they will deal with what Lana saw Clark do later, who knows? Next week Spoiler:
|
Couldn't Clark have shown up AFTER the guys ripped Lana's clothes off?
|
Isnt transplants the band with the blink guy in it? Cause that band sucks, but that song is cool. IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE!!

Sounded like the same version as my Scream soundtrack (by Gus), but I'm at work, so I can't check.
