24 04/22/03

Episode: 3:00AM - 4:00AM

Spoiler:
Jack's captors try to revive him after the torture session goes awry, Kim's in trouble again, Dessler and Almeida are being double-crossed, and Novick soldiers on with his plan to usurp Palmer.

Well, the Kim-free episode was fun while it lasted..........

Rypro 525 04-22-03 06:13 AM

Spoiler:
and Lynne dies by falling over a ledge.

Patman 04-22-03 07:51 AM

Well, for those who need a recap:

It's Tuesday, and I have no idea where Kim is.

Jack's all tied up and hurting in a major way.

Lynn's locked up on the 5th floor.

Tony and Michelle are sitting idly by waiting for the chip.

Yussef and Kate are getting the crap kicked out of them by reactionary rednecks.

Palmer's being set up for a coup led by the VP/et al.

Rypro 525 04-22-03 02:29 PM

Blaster, where are you, I wanna know what actually happens!

Rypro 525 04-22-03 03:17 PM

actually here are a few real spoilers from thedvdforums.com (warning, if you indeed go there, no spoiler tags)
Spoiler:
The doc eventually realised what was going to happen and stabbed the torturer with the syringe! good show!

Really sad about Yousef dieing, he seemed to be a top fella, didn't deserve to be involved in this.

Lynn's not dead just yet and Mike certainly has blood on his hands and has shown himself to be a sly dog grabbing Lynn's hand like that outside the ambulance. We wait to see if the cabinet are going to vote for or against the Pres, but I bet it's in favour of him, and that something will leak out about what happened to Lynn.

I really hope Jack shoots the two remaining racists, they were ready to kill Kate, and over nothing. Jack will probably have some sort of special-agent-esque plan to get the chip from them but they have now realised just how valuable the chip is.

Glad there's no more breaks in the season now, although I am away next week so have to wait till next Sunday to see the next ep

The Antipodean 04-22-03 04:05 PM

Last week's ep sucked so very hard, I'm halfway tempted to skip tonight's and watch a DVD. Besides, Foxxxxxx gave away half of it in the preview..:(

RichC2 04-22-03 04:59 PM

I finally caught last weeks ep, aside from being predictable, it was pretty good and quite entertaining, better than many of the last few episodes which were just boring as hell (and actually why I didn't watch last weeks sooner, the show really hit a slump but seems to be on its way back up now. Same happened last season with the entire amnesia crap and the questioning episodes)

Though it IS lame that they show everything that is going to happen in the next ep. Oh and the thing with the guys trying to shoot the guy is kinda annoying.

Alright, that all said, overall good episode. and is it just me or does the show tend to look better on FX than it does on Fox? (Color does at least, not counting the WS Edition)

Feneant 04-22-03 06:53 PM

This was by far the best episode of the season I found. Basically the only one where I can't wait to see the next one. I mean I knew what to expect, but damn, it rocked.

Spoiler:
They killed Yussef!!

Excelesor 04-22-03 07:12 PM

nice!! good to know feneant, im all hyped to watch it now

RichC2 04-22-03 08:35 PM

Wow, two interesting episodes in a row, it's been a while.

Great episode! 4 to go, and they have some damn good potential.

Spoiler:
There was a rumor that this season ended with a cliffhanger, anyone else heard anything about that? May of just been crossed wires..after all I did hear it on E!.. I actually have no idea how accurate they are.

CitizenKaneRBud 04-22-03 08:58 PM

I thought tonight's episode was a great one. Was I hallucinating, or was Palmer shown watching the meeting at the end?

I can't wait to see how they wrap it up.

movieking 04-22-03 09:10 PM

I don't think that they showed Palmer watching the meeting, but I could be wrong. That is what I expected, but I didn't see it.

Here's hoping Jack kills the other fellas in the bathroom.

No Kim again! Whoo!!!

I think that Mike's conscience is going to get the better of him before things go too far. I don't think that the VP will get enough support regardless...

leepyswetr 04-22-03 09:43 PM

Argh.

After 45 minutes, they worry about the noise? "Close the door. And make sure you both wait outside so that the doctor can stab me with the paralyzing medicine."

At least it was better than last week's episode.

PacMan2006 04-22-03 09:55 PM

I think it's great that we had no Kim tonight again. But not because she's brainless or anything. I mean, a character doesn't need to be seen each and every week for us to know they are still involved in the "day." Not everyone has eventful hours all day long. I think it would be great to see secondary characters in this show come in and out more often so we can focus more on the main plot and not sub plots--especially one that goes nowhere like Kim. They could have a character be around for two or three straight hours and disappear for another two hours only to re-appear as we see what important thing they are involved in now.

Jeeden 04-22-03 10:08 PM

How about the cast for this thing? It just keeps getting better and better.

First there was Operations from LFN, I guess he decided to leave section and do some freelance work.

Then the "sarge" from ChiPs showed up.

Liked the episode, Jack looks about out of patience and is shooting first, asking questions later.

oh yeah....and I only see the guy stepping on the chip if it is do to a muscle twitch when Jack shoots him.

jason978 04-22-03 10:39 PM

too many damned commercial breaks. seemed like there was a break every 5 minutes during the second half. Other than, good episode.

lwhy? 04-22-03 10:51 PM

I enjoyed the kimless episode. She really drags the show down. This episode kept me entertained through the whole hour.

kantonburg 04-22-03 11:17 PM

Yes this was a good overall episode and really sets up next weeks.

Spoiler:
I wonder who Kim was killing

Deftones 04-22-03 11:18 PM

Good episode, but it really pissed me off that Youseff tried to call 911 and all circuits were busy, but Jack makes his first call and it goes through fine. -rolleyes-

MrX 04-22-03 11:40 PM

I thought that was a great episode.

I agree about it's great to see the shoot first ask questions later Jack.

The only thing that I couldn't figure out was how Jack knew where Kate lived?

the narrator 04-22-03 11:44 PM

great episode..the preview for next week didn't give too much away either...it is going to be torture waiting for the final episodes..i sure hope they come through with the expectations they have set up

I disagree a bit.
Spoiler:
We know Mike has Palmer arrested and that the wife killer that Kim babysat for is back in the picture

Jlbkwrm 04-23-03 12:04 AM

Am I the only one who was hoping they'd actually kill Jack off? The whole situation was just too cliche. And he's up and running like a madman within an hour of being stone-dead? Bah.

That aside, I did like the episode (the lack of Kim certainly helped).

outcastja 04-23-03 12:35 AM

I didn't like the fact that Jack surived his torture but Youseff died from being jumped by three morons.

The Youseff character deserved better than that to get beat down by those three only to die later please. I just hope that he just lost conscious. YES another Kimless episode.
