I thought it was just getting postponed to April. Man! Gotta wait another few months. :( I want my TAR!

And the waiting continues...Screw Survivor! Give me the Amazing Race!

I wonder what type of security CBS provides due to the increasing anti-american attitudes in the world. In addition to the very poor manners that these contestants usually exhibit.

Given that the whole race has already been filmed, I would wager that it was all filmed before the war started, perhaps before the war was even an option. As for AR5, should be interesting to see where they go. Probably not any blatantly anti-American countries.

I know Survivor is getting tiring I haven't even watched this time I want MY AMAZING RACE!

Thoughts/feedbacks/suggestions on the following cover for my DVD collection of Amazing Race 1? I plan on adding text to the back image, but would like thoughts/comments on the front design (it needs to blend better I think) and a spine idea.

AGREED! TAR is the BEST (reality) Show on TV for me. I have watched every episode starting from season 2 (second episode). I don't think it is possible to top the emotional trainwreck that is Flo ... but here's hoping they try!
I am not ashamed to admit the theme song for the show gets me excited and my heart pumping but in a good way! :)

in this leg of the course, contestants have to hire a taxi from inside iraq to the other side of the syrian border. once inside syria, they will make their way to Damascus via underground tunnels. once in Damascus, they must skillfully maneuver through a mine field laced with barbed wire and other snares, penetrate a well-guarded mansion, and assasinate the exiled Saddam Hussein. ;)

any word on seasons 1/2 coming to dvd?

I'm hoping they just transition into The Amazin Race after Survivor ends in a few weeks. That way I don't have to reprogram my VCR. :)

TAR airs on Wednesday at 9pm ... unless I am mistaken?

I saw the promo for BB4 which should air in a couple of months. Either CBS will do BB4 and TAR together or follow TAR after BB4 has run its course.

It would seem very unlikely. A "best of" Survivor Season One sold poorly, and it is/was immensely more popular than Amazing Race.

It would be cool to see the re-runs of old TARs on the Travel Channel or something though.

That sounds like a hit! How much you wanna bet some Fox exec is going to pitch this as a show next season and claim it as his own idea? Actually, that's the perfect name for it too..."The Hit" :D

Didn't they air second runs of TAR on UPN? I vaguely remember this.

I really miss Amazing Race as well. Get this show on the schedule!

IIRC, for a month or so, they aired repeats of that week's episode on UPN. CBS on Wednesday, UPN on Fridays.

I think there are at least 2 reasons we haven't seen TAR4 yet. CBS acknowledges that Star Search does well in the ratings and has been extended a couple times. However, another reason for the delay could be the current world situation (i.e. the war, SARS, & everything). Although TAR has already been filmed, CBS might think it's "inappropriate" or "insensitive" to show groups of Americans racing through airports, screaming at cab drivers, etc.

Imagine spending an hour watching the teams race to a Pit Stop in Hong Kong or Beijing, only to have the nightly news talk about the latest SARS cases. It's a case where the current Reality could affect your appreciation of the show's "reality".

there's rumors over at Television Without Pity that some form of TAR-related announcement will be made on Monday......
