Scare Tactics anyone?

Sure it's a bit mean-spirited, but I still like it anyways. Pretty cool that Shannen is involved in some of the pranks instead of just hosting.

I watched both shows. Good pranks, although I wish they were carried out a little longer. They only keep their victims on the hook for a minute or two. The best was Sasquatch attacking the camper, but Doherty being kidnapped was fun too. With the deranged hitchhiker gag, as soon as the victim saw the driver getting stabbed, he jumped right on top of the guy and was punching the crap out of him.

Honk!

That guy shooting the plasma gun was such a sucker. How could anyone believe that was a real gun?

Yes although it was pretty damn mean I thought it was hilarious. My favorite skits were the Alien & Bigfoot scares. I thought it was so funny the way that dude in the backseat JETTED and left his girl during the Alien sequence.

*sigh*

You guys are disappointing me..

This is crap. Sci-Fi channel is crap. Hammer is a ::beep:: ::beep:: who ::beep:: her ::beep:: ::beep:: sideways..

For the record [And so this post isn't a total ]

I saw Shannon on Conan last nite. He mentioned he was surprised that no one had sued [Couldn't tell if that was his sly way of bringing up the lawsuit]..

It was amusing watching her weasel outta that one..

And she mentioned the "skit" that MJKTool did too..

I didn't watch the show, but I remember a few months back someone involved in an alien scam was suing the show (may or may not be the alien one from this show).

That guy was only a few IQ points this side of functional, but he was so proud of himself when he thought he was hitting the targets.

Next episode...

Boo

Are you scared?

You should be you are on scare tactics.

They will also show clips from Kids in tha Hall and the reading of There's a Spider on Your Shoulder.

I thought the show was ok, but just when the scare was starting they stopped. Even my scares last longer than that and I don't get paid to do it. I did laugh my ass of when the guy in the front seat of the car got stabbed by the hitchhiker and the guy in the back started punching the hell out of him.

What surprised me was how well some of the people took it.
I loved when the alien guy ripped off that door in the first one.
I also liked Shannon being in some of the pranks.

I don't know. I thought that most of the pranks were pretty damn funny. But it's crossing the line when you lead someone to believe that they may have killed someone (plasma gun prank), or when you prank a guy that can't even speak fluent English (buried alive prank). But the alien and bigfoot pranks were great!

I do not know why, but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if that lawsuit was a hoax for publicity and the victims were in on the pranks.

I haven't seen the show yet but I'm wondering, if someone on the show who thought was really attacked by some crazy hitchhiker or alien, etc and killed the 'attacker', would he be prosecuted and accused of murder even though everything around him led him to believe the danger was real ?

me and my brother were wondering about this
what happens when someone carries a concealed weapon and the prank involves the "victims" being attacked
for example, with the hitch hiker. once he pulled the knife a good case for justifiable homicide could have been made if the guy in the back had shot/stabbed him instead of punching him

I'm pretty sure they have a safety net/the "actors" get any weapons away from the person. This is likely the reason why there is a disclaimer before it, since these aren't jackass-style stunts.

The promos for this show seemed interesting, so I watched the first episode. It was the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen. I will never watch another episode--insulting to my intelligence is what this dreck is.

Saw Shannon on a talk show last nite or the night before..

She showed a clip from the show. It involved her "punking" a friend of hers. As they were all in a cab, the cabbie "hit" a pedestrian who eventually threw the cabbie out and comandeered the cab. Shannon was in the passenger's seat & her friends were in the back. After the "pedestrian" took control of the car, he started driving crazy and finally into a wall or something..

MAN, that's great Sci-Fi!

Why is everyone giving this show such a hard time? IMHO, it's one of the funniest hidden camera/pracitcal joke shows ever. I find myself laughing out loud at least once or twice with each episode.
