Reminder: David Letterman returns tonight (3/31)

That's RETURNS not RERUNS. ;)

Just thougth I'd give those of you who didn't know a little heads-up.

Don't forget to watch!

Awesome

Althought guest-hosts have been anywhere from awful to pretty funny, it's been far too long without Dave, Top 10, Will it Float, Is This Anything, etc.

Oh, and can't forget about hoop-girl and grinder-girl ;)

shaun3000 03-31-03 10:52 PM

He is funnier on drugs.

Tonights Top 10 list: Top 10 Things About Having the Shingles.

10: There's nothinging *beep* good about having the *beep* shingles. They *beep*ing hurt like a *beep* and every *beep*ing minute you hope some one will shove a red-hot poker up your ass!

(or something to that effect)

That Top 10 list tonight was funny!! :D

Billy Crystal is great.

"Man, you're still really knocked up, aren't ya?"

"Your... your eyes are actually crossed!"

And then the story about him on some drug in the 70s, going to look at the baby.

Dave, "My GOD!"

Buck Turgidson 03-31-03 11:49 PM

That was a nice little bit about George Miller. According to People, Dave paid all of George's medical bills and had him receiving the most cutting edge drugs. None of that surprises me. For all of his prickly artifice, Dave was raised right.

shaun3000 04-01-03 12:00 AM

Dave is a class act, no doubt about that. I hadn't heard he was doing all that for George, though.

The tribute to him was very nice. I wonder what those turning into Dave's show, only to find Johnny Carson on the air thought? Haha

And I liked Dave's comment, "[...] on the old Tonight Show. Paul, remember when Johnny had the show?"

It's great that Dave acknowledges Johnny, unlike certain other late show hosts... And the whole bit about how every comedian's dream was to just get on the Tonight Show, do well, and have Johnny laugh. Dave is great.

so glad to see dave back tonight! :D he looked different to me though, i think his hair was a lot shorter (if that's possible ;))

nice tribute to george and billy was actually pretty good...considering i dont usually like him that much.

shaun3000 04-01-03 12:35 AM

Looked like he had shaved it and it's growing back. Probably something to do with the shingles treatment. Or he just got a haircut... haha

Yay Dave! He's still the man. However, I did bail out before Billy Crystal came on. I don't like him at all.

What a great show last night. I think that was the first time I have ever seen Paul where normal eye-glasses. He always has sunglasses on.

Billy was good, but I have to say that the world champion whistler was truly amazing - I shall stand and applaud him.
