Mr. Belvedere ?

I just thought about this show the other day...

It hasn't been in syndication down here in years and i am wondering does anyone get it in there city?

I think this might be a cool show to bring pack on TVLand or N@Nite

what are your thoughts?

No, really!

I think it'd be cool, as I really don't have a great memory of the show, but I remember liking it. I think Nick-at-Nite could be showing a lot of good stuff...ALF, Perfect Strangers, Charles in Charge, etc. They should make a separate channel for Nick-at-Nite all day long. Sort of like a TV Land for shows of the 80s.

Nick at Nite actually is showing Charles in Charge, Perfect Strangers, and Head of the Class from 4-5:30 AM or something bizarre like that.

I think Nick at Nite has forgotten what classic TV is. The additions of Cheers, Cosby, and Family Ties were great, but then Coach? And now Wings??? WINGS??? Just because they were long-running, doesn't make them classic.

At least that's my opinion.

I should want to cook him a simple meal, but I shouldn't want to cut into him, to tear the flesh, to wear the flesh, to be born unto new worlds where his flesh becomes my key.

...Right...

You can cut into him all you want, if he ever escapes from the jar in my basement.

Mr Belvedere was a cool show when I was like 7 years old, but I have no desire to see that show again. There are so many shows I thought were good when I was growing up that actually suck. Like when I tried watching Perfect Strangers again. I know it's got it's fans, and that's cool, but I just find the show unwatchable anymore.

Groucho 03-27-03 09:27 PM

Didn't he die recently?

bigjim25 03-27-03 09:37 PM

It comes on here, used to be on at 3 - 4pm and now comes on at 5 - 6am.

I've never liked the show but I watched it anyway cuz there was nothing else to watch.

Brocktoon is immortal! He will never die!

(but seriously, yes, he did die last year)

I would like to see it again, just to see how well it holds up, if at all. I can't really remeber much about it, just that I liked it when I did watch it, all those years ago. Good theme song too!

The only thing I remember from the show was when the oldest brother lost his virginity and came back home the next morning with his sweater inside out.

I don't know why the brain holds on to useless fragments like that...

resinrats 03-28-03 01:49 PM

I remember the 2-part story of Wesley (little punk kid) got pissed at Mr. B and turned him into the INS.

Bob Uker was always funny.

Red Dog 03-28-03 02:20 PM

I remember Heather's dimwitted dumb blonde best friend, Angela. Angela always called Mr. Belvedere by the wrong name, including Mr. Butterfinger and Mr. Butterworth.

Gallant Pig 03-28-03 06:14 PM

or Mr. Butterball

Wasn't the son's name "Chip"?
