Anybody else hate Chloe (re: Smallville)
 

I just watched the rerun for Skinwalker, and it occured to me (well, it wasn't the first time, but it cemented it) what a despiseable beotch Chloe is. In one scene, she asks Lana about a personal letter (I think it was to Whitney), and Lana is wondering how did Chloe know about that. "Oh, I saw it folded up in the envelope on the table, and I was cleaning and it fell, and what do you know, the glue wasn't sealed, and the letter fell out, and I figured I better check the letter to see if it was actually supposed to be in that envelope." (of course, I paraphrased just a little, but I doubt Lana left an extremely personal letter just laying around face up for all to see on the kitchen table!) She just CHUCKLES IT OFF and says, "That's the pitfalls of having a roommate!"

Flash forward into a later episode from the season where Lana sees some email on Chloe's computer, and is caught reading it, and Chloe goes all ballistic on her and ban her from EVER using the computer in the Torch room again! Little two face beotch.

Not to mention her "poor old me, Clark loves Lana more" attitude this season has sucked.

If her character is destined to die, then I say all the power to the show's creators. I can't wait. She's getting to the annoying level the daughter from 24 is in.

LOL, i agree, i really don't like Chloe either and hope they have her die towards the end of the series. Lana isn't that great either, bitches and whines so much. they both get on my nerve, but chloe gets on my nerve the most since shes thinks its find if she does something but when she gets a taste of her own medicine she gets all mad. LOL, i wanna see clark give them both the back hand. heh, if you goto smallville fan sites and read, its kinda the complete opposite; like all of them hate lana and love chloe to death and what do you know, majority of the haters are girls.

Man, I've hated Chloe and Pete since the first episode. I will say that I've actually started to enjoy Chloe a little more. She's still annoying, but her character's become more interesting in recent episodes. I also like Pete a little more, but it's just because he knows Clark's secret and the same could've been done for any character. I think it could make the show pretty interesting if Clark would just tell Lex his secret.

Chloe is nice eye-candy for the show. BUT she has always been a nosey, obnoxious little hypocrite. Her character drives up the wall sometimes. She is the only one on the show I really don't care for.

Is Cloe a character in the comic books or just made up for Smallville? I know Pete is in the comics (although a white guy), Lana is there as well as the Kents. Not sure of Lex's dad.

Chloe's a new addition for the show.

I liked slutty Chloe in the episode "Rush".

I hate when she turns on her "reporter personality", which is quite often. She def. portrays the sterotypical reporter. Nosey biatch.

Hey, at least Chloe's got personality(even if it can be annoying as piss at times). That's more than I can say for Joey...errrrr, Lana.

Seriously though, if they're gonna continue with this entire Clark/Lana/Chloe pseudo love triangle, what I really wish they'd do is introduce another love interest for Clark(only this time someone who ISN'T a shapeshifting Indian) so that he can finally get his mind off those two.

Slutty Chloe good. :thumbsup: Regular Chloe annoying.

As for Lana, now there is some eye candy. The character is definitely bitchy and whine though.

The "in love with Lana" thing just doesn't intrigue me becase WE ALREADY KNOW she isn't his true love -- Lois Lane will be.

But Clark doesn't know that!

I don't like her big gums and small teeth.

When she is not smiling she is much prettier.

i'm with the fan sites on this one. chloe is a more desirable character than lana is. especially in the last few episodes. lana see chloe starting her move on clark so lana decides it is time for her, too. just like lana did during the season finale last season (so what if it wasn't her fault). i also think chloe is hotter than lana (little nose damage but overall better weight class), but they both have their hot slutty moments. i agree with the reporter comments, though. when she turns away from her eprsonality to get a story and it affects her friends it is annoying as hell. what garbage. but yes chloe > lana imo.

In the comics, Lois was the newspaper vamp and Lana was the girl next door. (With exceptions, in the 60s, Lois was the whiney, "is clark superman" one-dimensional character).

It appears they are duplicating that with smallville, but making lana into a lois type, and chloe into a lana type (from the comics).

Chloe is the attention whore of the show.

only because she gets less screen time than any other character. everyone has more time on the tub than she. it is upsetting when you actually like the character, as i do.

i see it too. i think it is the expression. on the soprano's she often has one of these on.

Chloe's insecurity about herself always forces her into her news and information world. She's worse than Clark, but will at times be rather blunt about her feelings. And I think that's what makes her unlikeable. She's constantly withdrawing into her world which hurts her relationships with Clark, Lana and Pete making her a true background player. Her curiosity has also gotten her in trouble with both Clark and Lana.

I see her ending up dead sooner or later. Really making an impact on the lives of the main characters and will drive Clark to 1) reveal his true feelings and secret to Lana and 2) make him search for answers leading him down the road to becoming a reporter for the Daily Planet.

I think she's attractive and the actress is pretty good
but the character has problems
