well, so much for this thread....

i was kinda surprised about some of the outcomes, i really thought chris cooper would get it but i guess it's all about respect for walken, etc. (although i'm not saying he didnt deserve it).

james gandolfini's "acceptance" speech was priceless! how uncomfortable. (that's guy from everybody loves raymond was great in his response too!)

company came over so i missed the best actress.

was p*ssed catherine zeta-jones won. she is just way too arrogant and snotty to deserve these honors (IMHO)! she accepts it like she knew she'd get it and that she felt she deserved it.

otherwise, it was a rather dull ceremony.

he was just embarrassed to thank HBO b/c he just filed a suit against them to get out of his contract early. he said it probably sounds ungrateful but it is a really great network to work for.

Damn. Lately, a lot of technical errors are happening on award shows.

The Emmys had several. Last night, they couldn't get the nominee box effects to work at first, then the "I'm not Chris Cooper" debacle. It is TNT, though. Hope the Oscars are better (usually are).

I was surprised by Walken and Zellweger. The way the DGA, WGAs, PGA, Baftas and now SAGs have turned out, I think the Oscars might have more surprises! Wouldn't that be great!
