Jimmy Kimmell: The Don King Week
 

All I caught last night was the musical guest at the very end. WTF was that all about? Is that guy famous in L.A. or something?

Don King is ruining every show....he is terrible.....somebody SHUT THAT MAN UP!!!!!

you can tell that Jimmy is ready to strangle him during interviews.....whoever came up with that idea should be fired.

Lauren Graham looked so freaked out the other night it was sad. Don wouldn't shut up about the Roy Jones Jr fight for her whole interview. I hope someone does get fired for this.

I hope who ever thought it was a good idea to bring in Don King is beaten with a pipe before they get fired.

Absolutely terrible with him on there....i feel so bad for the guests. Although at least Vince Vaughn had the chops to just go with it and Jimmy has given up on trying to ignore him and is making fun of King the whole time. Poor Monica Belluci....but she could have a tad of a sense of humour about it i think. I do have to say that the show seems to be finding a bit of a groove and Jimmy is getting better....I think there's some real promise here given their committment to a more of an anything goes attitude. The Nut Valet bit last week was priceless. If they continue to push the limits, they could end up with a strong following.

As for the Russian lezbopop - wtf? That was just strange. Dont' they make out in the video? Seems like i saw it a week or so ago and it rang a bell.....I don't listen to the radio so that must be it. Boo to NBC for cutting that......I'll never understand why we would have to be protected from SEEING people kiss, no matter what their gender is.

Anyone know who next week's guest host is?

I don't think Monica's english is that great yet and even those who do know english have a hard time figuring out what King is talking about. I knew going in this was a bad idea with him, but I didn't think it would be this bad.

Lennox Lewis is supposed to be on Thursday night. Hopefully he'll knock Don out.

I guess I am the only one. The show is out of control.The Wed episode was hilarious from Don King giving Robin Leach a hard time to him hitting on the women. He has been upredictable and it has blown away the traditional format of the the late nite talk with the standard boring questions.

Best week yet.

This week is better than last week...though I do think Don King is an idiot...he has been entertaining at times

Does anyone know what the girl wrote on Jimmy's hand? He said no war or something like that then there was a long bleep to censor whatever he said after that. I only get the show on 30 minute delay, so I don't know if it was censored everywhere.

Don King is pretty good co-host and funny but he really needs to know when to shut the hell up! Last night Robin Leach was getting mad and so was Jimmy

Blaster, we get it live here, and that was bleeped out. ABC, not surprisingly, must air the show on a 7 second delay. Don King is so annoying and some of the stuff he says so insipid that it's funny. I love this show (but then again I'm a fan of Kimmel's from Win Ben Stein's Money and the Man Show).

On tonight's show (Thurs.) is one of my favorite comedians - Greg Proops. If King doesn't let him say much, I'll be pissed.

Damn, I guess we will never know what was said then. That girl seemed like a freak.

i didn't get a good look at it, but if someone can post a screen cap i can probably translate it (2 years of Russian in college and still have my dictionaries....)....unless of course it was profane.

I just watched most of last night's episode - I cannot believe how freaking annoying that man is! It's funny for about two seconds! I really think that they will do a better job of screening his cohosts from here on out, because I don't think they would want this to happen again. It' weird because last week he had on a very reserved Janeane Garafolo and this week its the overbearing Don King - two completely different sides of the spectrum. I was waiting for Jimmy to reach over and punch Don in the jaw - we can only dream, right?

the Tatu sequence was just flat-out stupid and annoying, too.

she wrote the same exact thing on jimmy's hand as what was on their shirts on leno. (everywhere i've read says it means "fukc war" but i dont know russian at all)

the second word is "war" - pronounced "voinye" (rhymes with coin-yeh). The first word I don't recognize at all though, and isn't in either dictionary i have so it probably is *****....it would be pronounced kind of like "hooey" with a hard xh sound at the beginning (think arabic sounds or hawkin a loogie :) ) if anyone cares :) a y in russian is equivilant to 'oo' sounds as in poo, boo etc. the goofey H at the end is kind of a hard 'I'.....

Let me tell ya...two years of learning russian was one pain in the ass!

It was a pretty good show tonight. He seems to be getting better guests now.

Don King?

I dunno. He's a total ass and makes an ass out of himself. It's only funny to see how people react to him, like tonight when the comedian (that wasn't greg proops btw) told him to shut up he's eating into his time! But it gets old in just that Don King doesn't know when to turn it off. Like tonight him slabbering over Lennox was lame, but his bit with Anna was decent (only because Anna is a total joke). Lennox wasn't a washout though, the pillow fight was great.

The Russian chicks... Here's my take: they came out and bitched about getting their shirts censored on ABC. They were supposed to french, but either decided not to because they were censored by ABC on the shirts or else ABC behind the stage told them to go easy on the kissing and fake it like they did (and it did appear fake).

Jimmy did seem more energized this week without Jeanine. The thing with Jeanine that was a missed opportunity was have some hardcore conservative on the show with her: voila fireworks.

The Lennox Lewis pillow fight was great, I wish he would have landed a solid shot on that punk. And what about that poor guy that got the haircut from Don King, that was painful to watch.

The lip sync during the Russian chicks was horrible, it sounded way too studio perfect and they couldn't get their lips to match the song. They were too busy touching each other's boobs, although one could argue the boob touching is better than the song. :up:

Nut Valet was great. The wife and I were laughing our asses off with that one.

For those who didn't know, that comedian was Howard Kremer, the guy who 6 years ago did "Austin Stories" on MTV.
