Joe Millionaire - the Aftermath

So it finally ends. I thought the reaction by the other ladies watching the finally was pretty entertaining, and none of them seemed all that bitter, well maybe Melissa Mercenary was a little sour by how Sarah was being characterized. Sarah didn't make it to the viewing party. It was pretty evident that Melissa M didn't spill the beans either since she did know that Sarah wasn't picked by Evan (and probably didn't know about the final twist).

From the interview, it seems that Evana and Zora plan to give it a go, but time will tell if it's the real thing, or a real fling.

I like how Sarah blames how the show was edited together as the reason she looked so bad. That's the common excuse now for reality show people isn't it?

I wish Heidi would have been there.

Zora has definately broken out of her shell...she must have been doing a ton of interviews since the show because she is about 100x more outgoing than she was on the show...

Pointyskull 02-25-03 10:47 AM

Outside of the rejected girls watching the finale segment, it was pretty much a time-waster. I loved their reaction to Sarah's facial expression at finding out Joe was not worth $50 million. HA!

Patman 02-25-03 10:50 AM

Didn't these women know that Evan didn't have the bucks since Fox has been promoting the hell out of the show, and they should have at least watched the show for the past month or so. The only thing the women should have not known was who Evan picked and whether that woman accepted his invitation for "the journey".

Maybe they were just reacting to how the women reacted to learning that Evan was a pauper.

Paul: "Who's your daddy?"

Yeah, they pretty much had to know at that point. It was just worth a laugh to hear them laugh at Sarah's priceless expression...

Paul:

"It was like feeding truffles to pigs"..:)

razorbackfan 02-25-03 11:45 AM

Pauls remarks about "babysitting a bunch of 15 year old girls at a slumber party" and "feeding truffles to pigs" were great.

Wasn't it the chef who said that the Americans had no appreciation of good food and would drink diet soda right after drinking red wine, and that cooking good food for them was like feeding truffles to pigs? It did look like good food, though.

I enjoyed the show, it was a good followup. My favorite part also was the girls reaction to Sarah when Evan told her that he had no money. Sarah (in the show to Evan): Did you think that this would matter to me? (the girls in the audience): You bet

I wish Evan and Zora luck, Fox did very well with their picking of Evan and Zora was, in my opinion, the best out of the bunch for him. And Paul the butler was very good too, of course.

What happened to Alex McLeod of the Clan McLeod? That's the expose I want to see.

See this week's Entertainment Weekly (w/ Springsteen on the cover).

cooper2000 02-25-03 01:04 PM

FOX did it again.
The advertised the show as finding out if Even and Zora stay together and how long did it take to find that out?
They didnt even tell, they just said that they were going to continue dating and that was in the last 5 minutes of the show.
I hate FOX.

Gil Jawetz 02-25-03 01:11 PM

Yeah, but the real question is what plastic surgery has Zora had? Definitely something. Either lip implants or a nose job. It was tough to tell.

icondude 02-25-03 01:16 PM

I think they spent way too little time with the Evan and Zora interview at the end. Perhaps there will be another follow up during the next ratings sweeps..

That was her side, I would love to hear the producers side.

hokejka 02-25-03 02:11 PM

the first half was cool .... the second one booooooring :(

Patman 02-25-03 02:57 PM

Zora had plastic surgery?

Cheddarmuff 02-25-03 03:07 PM

I can't believe that Zora had surgery...I think that she just has more money to take care of herself...that and better makeup

Dr. Rosenrosen 02-25-03 03:46 PM

I'm a pig, but it also looked like Zora may have put on a little weight in the last few months.

I love Zora, but she's had the 500K for 3 months-- why isn't any of it getting to her aunt yet?

i was wondering about that too but I just figured that Fox didn't show that part of the interview since it would probably be boring compared to the "meat" of the interview.

Gil Jawetz 02-25-03 03:52 PM

All I'm saying is that she looked weird and seemed to have had something done.
