Funniest SNL moment or skit?

Here are a few
Chevy Chase and Richard Prior with Chase saying a word and Prior saying another
example
Chase: nig*er
Prior: Dead Honkey rotfl

Also some of the many Celeberty Jeopardy skits
Keanue Reeves (Tobey Mcgwire I think): I know kung fu
Alex Trabeck (Will Ferrell): No, you are not

Trabeck: just write a number, lets go to Mr Connery, what do you have down, looks like a V, even though you didn't want to win, you have won, lets see what you wagered "suck it Trabeck"
and many more.
Also seeing The Rock in a dress as an undercover police officer on "The Ladies Man"

"GIMME A SODA BIIIIIIIIIITCH"

Maybe not the funniest but I've been saying it a lot lately.

I agree but I'd limit it to the ones with Hammond as Connery in them. The other ones weren't as good.

From the early 80's - A family was having trouble with the crochety grandmother, so they hired Eddie Murphy as a sort of nanny for her. When the family was in the room, Murphy was polite and helpful, but when they left he abused the crap out of the old woman (I think it was Robin Duke).

Old woman: "Where's my jelly donut?"
Murphy: "Jelly donut? Tell me this, how the hell are you going to eat a jelly donut when there's no damn teeth in your mouth!?!" (grabs her head, yanks out her false teeth and flings them across the room)

And don't forget Mr. Bill!
"Oh noooooo!"
rotfl

Late 80's.

Dana Carvey as "Open Would Man" or something like that.

Also, Chris Farley's "Down by the River" character

Michael Jordan hula dancing with "Da Bears" guys.

Star Wars special re-release featuring the auditions of actors who *didn't* get the part:

Kevin Spacey as Christopher Walken auditioning for Han Solo: "I'm, captain! - of the.....Millennium. Falcon!" :)

I'm also a sucker for anything involving Norm Macdonald as Burt Reynolds, which now that I think of it, included Burt reading for the role of Darth Vader.

Alex Trabeck: He would now like to be called Turd Furgason.

Chris Farley and Patrick Swayze at the Chippendale tryouts.

neale 02-12-03 10:53 PM

Early 1990s, some sort of superhero skit. Brief (1-2 second) shot of an extremely elaborate "Calcium Man" costume. Cracks me up every time.

I'm also a fan of "One Man's Demons" -- ("kill her, kill her") The obscure ones crack me up.

A skit that I saw once and never saw again...and everyone I ever tell about it has never seen it. It had to be late 80s...maybe way early 90s.

It was a skit where it's something like the Brooklyn Theater does War of the Worlds. It was hilarious beacuse they put on the thickest Brooklyn NY accents and the title was actually Woi of da Woilds....and every other word was funkin'.... "Hey Gina...look it's the funkin' aliens...let's funkin get outta here."

Probably the funniest skit I have ever seen on SNL.

Tarantino 02-12-03 11:54 PM

gotta throw Schmitts Gay Beer out there, as well as...

"GET ON THE DAMN BAG!!!" (Will Farrell)

and...

Jingleheimer Junction!

There was one i think with mike meyers where he was out to dinner and all the jokes he made were one conversation back, and then he went into the bathroom got in a time machine and came back and then all of his jokes were timed right with the rest of the people, it was funny if you remember it

Giles 02-13-03 12:18 AM

as of recent, I really found the little animated short "Bambi 2" and the recent repeat of "Charlie Brown Christmas Revisited" to be funny.

ChefWinduAZ 02-13-03 12:59 AM

Besides a lot of the ones that have already been mentioned one of my favorite skits is The Exorcist with Richard Pryor....

"Your mama knits socks that smell!"

blahloney 02-13-03 02:39 AM

ummm.... what about

Schwetty Wieners

or the

Schwetty Balls

shanester 02-13-03 04:11 AM

Dana Carvey as Kasey Kasem and The Angry Old Man were priceless!

I also remember a skit in the 80's when Eddie Murphy was transformed into a caucasian man and went around New York to see what life was like as a white man..

I'll always remember that line he says after he looks in the mirror with all his make on:

''I look kind of Harry Reemish"

FYI..(Harry Reems was a famous 80's porN star!)

Dark and lonely
On a summer's night
Kill my landlord
Kill my landlord

Watchdog barking
Do he bite?
Kill my landlord
Kill my landlord

Slip in his window
Break his neck
Then his house
I start to wreck
Got no reason
What the heck
Kill my landlord
Kill my landlord

C - I - L - L my landlord
