Joe Millionaire - Will Fox s-t-r-e-t-c-h it out?

With tonight's episode (02-10), ol' Evan is supposed to choose between Sarah and Zora.

With two more episodes (02-17 and 02-24) still set to air, who thinks Fox is going to stretch out the announcement of his final decision until next week?

I'm pretty certain that will be the case.

They gotta keep this one rolling through sweeps, especially since it's a one-shot deal.

I've been impressed with the ratings this show has pulled in (it was #6 last week for its Monday viewing). Now we are in the downhill side of the millionaire mountain ride.

Are they going to do one of those shows where they bring back all of the women he didn't pick ala The Bachelor/Bachelorette? It would be interesting to hear what they have to say about him now that know he isn't a millionare.

The review in today's paper said that tonight's episode deals with Evan and the agony he goes through in making his decision.

The actual decision and the "winner's" reaction once she learns the truth will be shown next week, I guess (taken from 2/10 Plain Dealer article):

Next Monday night, Evan is going to choose the winner and then lower the boom.

"Will his true love accept him for who he is," reads the promo copy, "or reject him in search of greener pastures?"

Right. That's the question.

Tonight, though, Fox claims Evan will spend the entire hour pondering what to do.

He will, we're told, contemplate, deliberate, brood and ruminate.

Stretch what out? The lame show, or the lame reality series concept?

Wow. I almost cancelled a dinner out to see the "decision" tonight.
Thanks for saving me from myself!

Anybody want to hear the rumor of the big twist?

Read below:

Spoiler:
In a case of role reversal, one relative dies and leave that woman millions in the will. And supposedly it's Zora.

I called this scenario a week or two ago. It would be cool.

Welcome to ADD television.

Patman - if that were the twist, well, that would be one I didn't see coming and that's fairly rare, that'd be definitly "big."

That would be damn amusing and definitely worth their hype as a "big" twist. If it's something stupid like he really is wealthy or whatever... meh... that'd be stupid.

Maybe he's done some light bondage films himself.

That completely sucked. I could have watched The Practice (while recording Third Watch). Now I assume next week will more or less suck too. I'll record it so I can Fast Forward.

And thanks Tivo for giving back over 1/2 of that (skipped commercials and parts I'd seen).
