Fear Factor's Joe Rogan to host The Man Show

I don't watch Fear Factor but I have seen Rogan appear a few times on Howard Stern. He's okay. I wish Adam would stick around though.

Sounds like both NBC and ComedyCentral made business decisions, but is Rogan even remotely funny, let alone in the self-deprecating tone of The Man Show? A lot depends on who else they get as co-host.

I like Joe. If you want to know if he's funny, I think his website is www.joerogan.com. Not a work friendly site! I've heard him say on talk shows that he got hired on Newsradio to pretty much play himself. So if you liked him on Newsradio, you'll probably like him on the Man Show. I think it's a good fit. I remember him being a good guest on Loveline. He's very opinionated like Adam and likes to spout off about things that irritate him.

They probably would've made a good team had Adam stuck around, but he'll probably be doing Jimmy's show pretty regularly. He's too lazy to do that, Loveline, Crank Yankers and the Man Show.

Unless this is the new host of The Man Show:

then you mean to go to www.joerogan.net and not www.joerogan.com .

Rogan seems like an obvious choice to me. Good pick.

I've heard some of Joe's standup, and he's extremely funny. Too bad Adam's leaving too, but I think Joe is a good replacement.

Although he's never funny on that stupid fear factor, Rogan is funny on Howard Stern. Who will be the other host? Or will he do it alone?

Why is Adam leaving? I thought only Jimmy was leaving?

He had an interview where he said that he had to tone himself down for Newsradio since it was on a network. And if you've seen his standup, he's way more hardcore than he was on newsradio.

I saw him on NBC's "Late Friday" standup thing a while back. That was some of the worse standup I have ever watched, and even the audience didn't laugh at most of his stuff.

I have to say though, it was fairly true to his character on "Newsradio".

I don't watch The Man Show, so I don't really care, but his comedy was just utterly horrible. I don't mind him as a host of some gross-out show, but I don't think he'd succeed replacing the other two hosts.

It just seems like it'll be the Man Show, but a different kind of man show. Instead of a self efficing attitude, with Joe it should logically shift to a more hardcore kick-ass attitude....but will it be funny?

From the way he acts on fear factor and his character on news radio, I don't see the Man show being even remotely funny anymore. Jimmy Kimmel and Adam WERE the Man show, the comedy bits and all were very much a trade signiture of Adam and Jimmy which you could tell they had from working on KROQ fm in los angeles. The Man show is dead, Comedy centeral should realize that and move on to something else.

I agree. I don't see it working at all.

I actually saw Joe at a comedy club and it was some of the funiest material I have ever heard. This could work because he is every bit as vulgar as JK and AC. Of course I could be wrong, they liquor you up at those comedy clubs so everything is funny.

Plus Adam and Jimmy do most of the writing and I don't see how The Man Show could ever be the same without at least one of them.

Hmmmm, I have mixed feelings on this. Adam and Jimmy were The Man show. I don't think they could ever replicate the success and type of show they did. However, Joe Rogan is a funny guy. I've always like him, even before he was on NewsRadio.
