New Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles premieres Feb 8th at 10:30am on Fox
 

The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series starts this saturday morning on Fox at 10:30am. This is the 3rd incarnation of TMNT and so far it's shaping up to be one of the better ones.

Unlike the early 1990's series, the Turtles aren't "goofey" party animals. These Turtles are closer in design and in character to the original black and white Eastman and Lair TMNT comics from the mid 1980's. Those Turtles were based off of the Frank Miller Daredevil comics from 1980-1983. Here's a pic of the "New" Turtles. Thanks to NinjaTurtles.com for the artwork....

Sorry Harlock, but I had to correct you.

Sadly apparently no more pizza additction, no Technodrome, and none of that brain dude. :(

And April isn't a reporter, she is a lab assisatant like she was in the original comic book or something.

I think the new theme sucks horribly too. But I will check it out. The animation looks great, especially the updated Shredder.

They look SO much closer to the original b&w comics. That's one of the reasons I like the original movie so much. They really got the spirit of the books. If only it were a little more on par with the violence level. The comics are BLOODY.

But they have white eyes! I'm so tuning in for this.

I might have to wake up on Saturday for this.

I think Casey Jones sounds like a putz, but I'll reserve judgement for when I see an episode. I'll be on a plane when this debuts, so I'll have to catch the ep next week.
