A Quick CSI : Miami question
 

I must have missed an episode somewhere. How was the sudden absence of Kim Delany's character Megan explained on the show?

She sent him a letter, telling him that she would not be coming back.

It was kind of glossed over, so much so that I don't even remember what was in the letter

I think it was something like she hasn't gotten over her husband's death or something
which makes me think they should have had her character be an ex detective from NY City :)

Also in the letter it said for Caruso's character to not contact her anymore.

Part of the 'explanation' was that Megan came back too soon - the police work brought back too many painful memories of her husband the cop - so she's moved back to Chicago to be closer to her family.

I'm glad she left!..I thaught she was totally miscast :down:

Playing the melodrmataic widow didn't cut it she would have been better served go back to "All My Children".
