"The Rock" on ABC HDTV
 

Anyone else catch "The Rock" on ABC HDTV last night? Even though it was cropped from its 2.35:1 OAR (to a 16x9 HDTV-friendly AR), it looked pretty good, and sounded pretty decent with its DD 5.1 audio track. The amount of detail you see on the HD transfer is a treat. And I always get a kick out of the creative dubbing of the profanity for network broadcasting.

Darn, on the USA network version, they said "god damn" and "A*shole" and just had silence over the over two words.

This film was done just after Nicolas Cage got his hair plugs (it's pretty painful looking).
