Clone High

I thought this was just going to be another POS MTV show but it is surprisingly funny. Very cleaver jokes. Some Family Guy type stuff. Anyone else see it?

Didn't catch the episode, although I'm sure i'll catch one of the 13 repeat airings of it. When I saw the commercials for it, the animation reminded me of Ren and Stimpy. Looks promising.

It's quite good. I've seen 10 of the 13 episodes so far (from Teletoon Canada). The Rock Opera with Jack Black is bizzare.

I saw it. I liked it. It is a pretty good show to watch after the Battle of the Sexes.

Finally got around to catching this show. Interesting concept, and it was damn funny! Kind of a Family Guy meets Dexter's Laboratory and Ren & Stimpy. I set up a season pass for it on my Tivo.

I watched two episodes a few months ago. The episode with Ponce was only decent, but the one with Abe's sleeping problems was damn funny (espically with Ghandi's American Pie jokes).

Great concept in either case.

Clone High canceled

Does anyone know if Clone High is going to be coming back? MTV's site still has it listed, but with no new airdates. Is it just the end of the season, or was it canceled/postponed/etc?

From TVTome's Clone High Site, it seems that it is officially canceled. MTV probably will air the last four episodes (link), but the series finale aired last week in Canada.

So you know, all you would need to do is go back in time and move to Canada, and you'd be able to catch it. Good luck on that.

- It's a good show.
- It's on MTV.

There is only one option. MTV must cancel it.

This show was funny, clever and better than anything on the big 3 networks right now. So lets cancel it! I guess MTV needs more room for True Life: I'm a spring break slut.

Let's not knock True Life. Real World/Rules Rule is the trash of the network, not True Life.

Are you saying that MTV Canada doesn't show the same thing over and over and over for a week solid? If it weren't for the Bryan Adams videos, that sounds like a pretty good deal.

Clone High was actually pretty good. Too bad. It was the best cartoon on MTV, since Beavis and Butthead in my opinion.

Actually, MTV Canada doesn't air it. Teletoon, the Canada's Cartoon Network, airs it. I'm not quite sure what MTV Canada airs, although I use to read about some of MTV's programming being played on MuchMusic before MTV Canada was launched.

Dammit! How come every freaking show I watch seems to be canceled!? I swear, those television executives wouldn't know a good show if it crawled up and bit them in the ass.

Oh well. Now I officially have no reason to ever turn to MTV again. At least I feel less dirty.

Re: Clone High

Loved the original, but they dumped Gandhi, because that's not very PC anymore. They also replaced the voice of Cleopatra, since its now illegal to have anyone white voice a cartoon character that is not white. Christa Miller will voice a new white character.

"Of the core characters in the original series, Abe, Joan (of Arc), JFK, Mr. B and Scudworth are back voiced by the same actors; Gandhi, who was voiced by Michael McDonald, is not featured in the reboot, and Cleo, who was originally voiced by Christa Miller, will now be voiced by Iranian-American actor Mitra Jouhari."

Re: Clone High

The new season has started to be released on HBO MAX, two episodes so far.

Trailer for the new season:

Oddly, it come up as just "Clone High," and is marked as season 1 of the show. There's a separate listing in MAX for the old Clone High, if you want to watch that to catch up, although they seem to be angling this show as not strictly requiring you've seen the old show.

Personally, I very much enjoyed the two new episodes. I found them very amusing, and very much in the vein of the original season.

Re: Clone High

The first two episodes are pretty good. I watched the original show way back when the DVD came out, and didn't rewatch the episodes recently. Didn't feel lost, either, as the title theme pretty much sums it all up

The bloody mary bit in episode 2 was hilarious

Re: Clone High

Aside from removing Ghandi (which is sorta referenced) and changing the voice actress of Cleopatra because ya know that’s the new Law apparently, the show is really great. Both episodes were really funny.

Re: Clone High

Two more episodes dropped on Thursday, I guess they're releasing them two at a time.

I enjoyed both of them, although I guessed the two big twists in the Anxiety episode before they were revealed. It's fun watching the show adapt to a modern sensibility while retaining the same anarchic, irreverent spirit of the first season.
