What's the most over-played movie on TV?
I say:
Pretty woman Indiana Jones - The Last Crusade Shawshank Redemption |
Murder At 1600
The Pelican Brief Lethal Weapon 3 The Peacemaker Raiders of the Lost Ark |
Shawshank Redemption
|
Lately it seems like LA Confidential is on every night.
|
Dumb and Dumber seems to be the movie I've seen on the TV schedule more times than anything else over the past few years. (I believe on TBS or was it TNT). Although Raiders of Lost Ark seems to be catching up.

Jaws
Shawshank Redemption When Harry Met Sally Breakfast Club Overboard The Firm Devil's Advocate Ghost Field of Dreams Animal House Blues Brothers Contact A Few Good Men |
breakfast club has to have a mention, it plays every weekend at least, or do i just watch it that often?

true lies
shawshank contact conspiracy theory Devilshalo listed a couple i NEVER see on TV.. Animal house and field of dreams never seem to be on. They'd be awelcome switch from shawshank. A great movie, but they're beating it to death on TBS. |
Back to the Future
|
I would have said Bloodsport not too long ago, but I haven't seen it in quite some time. TBS and TNT both played it a ton, but I haven't seen it on either in a few months. I kind of miss it...
|
I'll add Trading Places.
|
As Good As It Gets
|
I am surprised that no one mentioned Top Gun yet.
I would also add Shawshank, LA Confidential, and any of those "First Daughter/First Shot" movies with Mariel Hemingway. |
Honey I Shrunk the Kids
|
Trues Lies
Tremors |
A little off topic, but am I the only one who refuses to watch "TV" versions of great movies? How can anyone watch classics like "Blazzing Saddles" or "Animal House" on TV???? Once upon a time this was the only way to see movies after their theatrical run, but today.....come on!
|
Well naturally, Shawshank as everyone has already indicated, but add The Outlaw Josie Wales to the list.
Jeramiah Johnson's not too far behind either. |

Anything with Steven Seagal....it seems every weekend you can always find a Steven Seagal movie (or two) on tv.
