I only saw the 2nd half of the show, Kate Hudson was on Letterman, the funniest part of the Jerry O'Connell interview was at the end when Jimmy said something and his face had this look of total confusion on his face for a couple of seconds, then it dawned on him it was funny and he laughed. The end was good to with his uncle.

Jeff Ross is hilarious on the roasts but he used the same material for his stand up tonight he's used on every talk show for the past 5 years. He needs new material badly.

Man, I like everything about this show except Jimmy Kimmel. I'm really enjoying it this week mostly because of Kathy Griffin. I thought I would enjoy Snoop last week, but Jimmy's not funny enough to make Snoop interesting for a whole week. Do you think we could have rotating hosts instead of rotating co-hosts?
I loved how the host, co-host, and guest all made fun of Corey Feldman. I bet he was so pissed off after the show.

Why do they have such a 'problem' booking guests? If it is just some type of ratings things, give it up I say.
Anyway, Kathy really spiced it up. I was on the ABC Message Board for the show and seems like most people hate her lol, but I dunno I thought she was hilarious.

He mentioned this on Loveline, the night he was a guest on Jimmy's show because he ended up about a half hour late for Loveline.
You can tell Jimmy is a Letterman fan. He's doing everything possible to piss off ABC and doesn't seem to really care. I thought it was pretty cool of Dave to have Jimmy on his show the week before the Superbowl too.

Well ABC tried to censor out Kathy flicking Jimmy off... but we still got to see lol. At least on the East Coast... I am sure it was fully blocked on the west coast feed. Funny too since at the beginning of the show he was talking about how ABC censored Mickey Mouse out of the show.

'Kimmel Live' Competitive in First Week

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - For all Jimmy Kimmel's bad-mouthing of his ABC late-night show's prospects, the first week's ratings turned out reasonably well.
"Jimmy Kimmel Live," which airs at 12:05 a.m. ET, averaged about 1.75 million viewers a night in its first week (Jan. 27-31). That's comparable to the audience for CBS' "Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn," which begins a half-hour later.
Also encouraging for the network is the fact that "Kimmel" grew from Monday to Friday last week, hitting a high of 2.1 million viewers Friday night. The show also increased its ratings among adults 18-49, from 0.6 to 0.9, over the course of the week.
Because it starts just after midnight, Kimmel's show airs opposite parts of all four established late-night shows on CBS and NBC. It was strongest against the "Late Late Show" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," beating the CBS show and coming close to "Conan" in the adults 18-34 demographic.
NBC's "Tonight Show with David Letterman," which averaged 6 million viewers last week, and CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman," which drew an average of 3.6 million people with repeats, are still well ahead of "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
Ooops, I guess they don't proofread their articles.

I love the show, but he has to start being nice to (sucking up) the guests or he's not going to make it. It's hysterical when he rips into Corey Feldman or whomever, but that's the reason guests won't want to do the show. You think Schwarzenegger is ever going to do the show after the way they made fun of him?
What happened with Super Dave anyways? He seemed pissed the first show when they wouldn't let him promo his book. Then they rushed him through a few seconds of it, but seemed pretty rude to him. I was surprised to see him back.
I'll enjoy it while it lasts though.

did he happen to mention Sony at all?
someone at work took a call from a lady claiming to be Kimmel's secretary. while he had her on hold we told him to tell her to have Kimmel say something on the air so we would know she wasn't lying (granted getting him to say something is a huge long shot but it was worth a try)

I busted out laughing when Jimmy and David asked Kathy if she'll ever be with a black man aagain and she replied, "I'm still sore from the last one."
"I got some thin mints..."
