Is ER new tonight?
NBC.com gives the following info:
NEXT ON ER
PARTLY CLOUDY, CHANCE OF RAIN
10pm 01/02/03
ANGRY STORM CAUSES FLOOD OF BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS -- When a torrential rainstorm pounds Chicago, patients stack up while Dr. Weaver (Laura Innes) speeds to an accident site where a pregnant woman (guest star Nina Landey) lies injured inside a wrecked ambulance while live power lines spark -- until heroic first-year resident Gallant (guest star Sharif Atkins) makes a dangerous leap of faith. Elsewhere: a shaky Dr. Benton (Eriq La Salle) gets the lab reports that will determine if he is the father of his son Reese; Kovac's (Goran Visnjic) new girlfriend (guest star Julie Delpy, "Killing Zoe") gets in trouble and gives him some unexpected news; Dr. Carter is shocked to see his grandmother (guest star Frances Sternhagen) wheeled in after breaking her hip in a hit-and-run car accident which injures a young woman (guest star Amy Jo Johnson, "Felicity") -- and Dr. Greene (Anthony Edwards) tends to a guilt-ridden boy (guest star Jack Johnson) who feels responsible for the disappearance of his younger brother after playing in a flooded river. Maura Tierney, Michael Michele, Sherry Stringfield and Paul McCrane also star. Lisa Vidal (NBC's "Third Watch") also guest-stars. TV-14
However, I'm confused because not only is this a repeat, but look at the date.

The description is a repeat, but NBC has been airing teasers for a new episode tonight (plus it's sweeps month, so no re-runs in November!)
Also, it appears that Weaver is

Anyone else notice last week when the big fellow who seems to live with Pratt was running around saying he won, I wonder if he won the lottery they were all talking about?

there's no reason why the parkinsons guy couldn't treat patients in a non surgery/emergency situation. He could easily be a general practitioner
cordey is a bitch plain and simple

Maura Tierney can hang on to me anytime...I thought it was a good episode...Kovac was working his magic w/ the patients again, but the man-whore part of his personality won't go away either, will it? I love Don Cheadle, but his character needs to realize people die and there is no prolonging it sometimes. I don't think Corday is a bitch, she is just doing her job. I don't think Nathan could even be a general practitioner, he could barely do sutures (sp?) last week. Sometimes you have to be honest w/ yourself and I don't think Nathan is - everyone has their own limits.
I am really not looking forward to seeing Sally Field again next week, I love Abby (Maura Tierney) but I can't stand her family's sub-plot - enough already.

I was LOL at Frank giving Lewis grief over her death touch.
Kovach is paving the road to hell with his sexual appetite. I knew that woman at that bar was one of the ladies of the night.
BTW, that was Chinese being spoken by Chen and the woman who got knocked up twice by the slimy Chinese dude. I understood what they were saying, but I can't believe they don't subtitle that stuff for non-speaking Chinese viewers.
Carter should have been more mad at Abby using his credentials to get the 411 on Eric.
I can't blame Korday for her assessment of the Cheadle character, he needs to go into the diagnosis portion of medicine.

Dr. Lewis, upset over having patients die on her and trying to choose the patient to treat next:
"Look at these patients. Old, diabetic, old, diabetic, old and diabetic. Oh screw it, just give me the swollen scrotum"

This was a good, Pratt-less ep.
That chinese nanny was h-o-t. Once the couple got there I knew where that storyline was going.
I thoroughly enjoyed Kovac driving onto the golf course to get that ass. More doctors should care that much. Though, he loses points for that skank he "rented" at the end...
I liked the lil rivalry brewing between Gallant and Harkins. He's cool & she's easy on the eyes.
Speaking of that, it was good to see Weaver's mamicita again.
Hope we see more.
And I love Don & his character. There are some people who won't go down without a fight. He's one of 'em. But I do agree that he shouldn't operate on people or do somthing that requires steadyness. [Unless his meds have kicked in...]

The Weaver revelation was given away in the teaser ads playing all this week, no surprise about that one for me, it all made sense from all the clues they peppered in the earlier episodes this season. I wonder how Weaver and her lover decided who'd be carrying this baby.
Eric's bi-polar condition and him going AWOL wasn't all that big a stretch if you were there for the Abby's mother episode arc from years past. Eric was awfully funny in his heightened emotional state before the AF MP came and arrested him.
So, any sparks between Gallant and the Leslie Bibb character in the works?

I agree as well. For as much as Corday is a hard@ss coming across, she's the one who saw him on the bench not being able to stand up. He has a tremendous staunch will though - I'll give him that. I don't mind seeing Cheadle EVER

I felt so bad for Susan in this episode! The comments Jerry and Frank made about her were pretty damn funny however

When did Weaver and firegirl get back together?

Carter's kind of like I'd be if I was with Abby: "Whatever you think is best, sweetie... When can we go home?"

Michelle Krusick, the fabulous babe who played the nanny (she gets one, too

Finally, not to give Kovac any more grief, but... I wouldn't have paid that chick 3 Dollars...

Kovach has some cool toys (when he and Abby were still boinking each other).
Well, I was cracking up when the slimy guy was "translating" for the Chinese woman, and Carter didn't believe a word of it because she barely spoke a full sentence, and he "expounded" upon what she "said" by trying to push his agenda on Carter (who was already suspicious by that time, and rightfully so). I cracked up because I knew the translation was not what the woman actually said (but a semi-fearful expression of trying to maintain the cover story of playing dumb).

I thought this was a great episode.
I think they've done a great job with Abby. That last scene with her and Carter was great. Really made me feel for her.
I called Weaver getting pregnant after the syringe incident...yawn... Are we supposed to be shocked and surprised by this?
I guess I was the only one who was really surprised by Kovac and the hooker. When that scene started I was rolling my eyes, thinking, "Man is this guy ever NOT going to get laid in an episode". I thought it showed how pathetic and lonely Kovac is. That combined with the plea from the jilted husband really made Kovac seem pitiful.

What was funny about that Kovach and the hooker scene was how he answered his phone from the wife, and then hung up on her, and also the second time she called back. The hooker had to be thinking to herself "this is money in the bank."

All of it was boring except the Don Cheadle and Tom Everett Scott characters stories. And even the Don Cheadle thing is looking its freshness. Fortunately, he's talented enough to keep it interested. But the rest of the stories, just boring. Luka's a dick, the whole Chinese slave girl was boring, eh. Well, at least the Scott and Cheadle bits were interesting.
