I think Junior is actually feeling the effects of what he's faking. The fall probably affected him, but it didn't come through until later. So he's faking this disease, but at the same time he's starting to slowly degenerate...which is why he's "acting" even out of sight of the feds.

I think that's it anyway, it's an interesting scene.

I think Junior does not trust his nurse. Plus I thought it was wierd how on every talk show Joey Pants bet people he would be on the show for the 5th season, either he didn't know or he was trying to fool people.

True, but he did talk about how it would cost him a lot of money to care for his son, giving him a motive

If Ralph was in need of extra money for his son, he wouldn't have put a $20,000 a year scholarship for Ruckers in the name of Jackie Jr. I honestly think he didn't kill off the horse, but he didn't feel remorse for the horse since to him it was a blessing in disguise.

I was amazed at the levels of emotion at play in this EP. Started out fairly sweet actually for a SOP episode then derailed into the old school gangster ****. Things are starting to wash away in the sand castles these characters inhabit. The writing seems sharper the last couple of episodes great closing shot as well.

That phucking scene gave me nightmares though

Did anyone else get the feeling that Tony and Christopher were being watched from across the cliff? Maybe it was just the camera angle that gave me that feeling, but it was there.

WOW! I watched the repeat on HBO2 just to make sure what I saw really happened. Great episode.

You noticed that, too?

I kept expecting to see them cut to someone either watching or taking photographs.

I'd say that those longshots were definitely put in there to give the viewer that kind of feeling, that T & C were being watched by someone.

First off, if you post something saying "It looks like next week blah blah blah happens", please use spoiler tags. There are a bunch of posts early on in this thread that give stuff away for next week's episode without spoiler tags.

So, yeah, great episode. Anyone else think that the way they got rid of Ralphie wasn't very smart? Were Tony and Christopher even wearing gloves when they hotwired the Caterpiller and used it? Wouldn't there be safer ways of getting rid of the body? Shouldn't they be worried about some other distinguishing marks on the rest of his body that Ralphie could be identified with? Why not just completely chop up the body in the butcher shop the way they used to?

When they started talking about having Uncle Junior faking his confusion, I was half-convinced that he really would have mental problems, and it would take a while for anyone to notice since they all thought he was faking it. On the other hand, I was also half-convinced that Ralphie was going to turn over a new leaf and be a nice person from now on, so my hunches aren't all that great.

Saw the ep tonite. It was great. What was even greater was the way I was able to resist this thread until after I saw the ep

Anyways...here's a heads up that Joey Pants is on Letterman tonite.

Should be interesting...

err... i wouldn't call predictions of what will go on next week based on the preview that is shown on HBO immediately following the show spoilers...

I think since you are making guesses based on info who people avoid watching the previews it would make them spoilers. If all your conclusions are based on only what was shown during the episode then that's not a spoiler. But if you say "so they showed so and so in the spoiler, so I think this is what's going to happen" I would consider that a spoiler.

Christopher made that statement about Paulie meaning that Paulie couldn't have been the one who killed Raphie. Remember, Tony said he found Raphie this way.

Tony is a hyprocrite, he preached to Paulie not to touch Ralphie and reminds him this is a business, but then goes to kill him over a horse.
I believe Tony pretty much killed Raphie because he called him a Fat F*** and was swining a hot frying pan at him. He went to the house to confront Raphie about the horse, but I think he killed him in self defense and of course uncontrollable rage.

I would. I think predictions with no extra info than what's been in the episodes so far are fine and spoiler-free, but once someone starts talking about what happened in the preview for next week's episode (with or without their predictions based on them), that crosses over the line into spoilerdom.

That said, HBO's previews for upcoming episodes are a lot less spoilery than many other networks' previews, but I still don't want to know what's in them...

About Christopher and Tony being related to one another through blood...I'm confused. I thought Tony was the only son, and had two sisters - Janis and the skinny sister. Chrissy can't be related to either one, because they had him in one episode go to visit his mother, and she turned out to be some old woman. So how is Chrissy Tony's nephew? If he were Carmella's blood nephew, Tony wouldn't be so fatherly towards him.

Raid in Ralphie's kitchen? You'd expect a can of Pam, but Raid?! Damn!

As far as who should be whacked at the end of the season - I'd vote for A.J. - what total heartbreak it would be for Tony if someone wanted to hurt the man. And besides, the kid is such a gloomy-gus. He's also one of the actors trying to get more money to be on the show...and he's hardly spoken more than 10 words this whole season.

Christopher is Carmela's first-cousin, once removed.

http://www.hbo.com/sopranos/cast/cha...mperioli.shtml

Tony refers to him as "nephew" and loves him like a son, but Christopher Moltisanti is actually Carmela's first cousin, once removed. His father was Carmela's cousin, Dickie Moltisanti, who was something of a mentor to the youthful Tony. So when the senior Moltisanti was shot to death, Tony, in turn, took Christopher under his wing. As Christopher remembers very little of his father - he was still in diapers when Dickie was killed - Tony's the closest thing he's ever had to a paternal figure.
