Instead of eliminating the musical artists, they should just vary it MUCH more. Why does it always have to be a group who was either in high school or pumping gas two years prior?

There are plenty of older bands who still sweat it out on tours every year, even when they don't have an album to promote. Just mix it up, that's all I'd ask.

Also, I really wish they would finally admit defeat and trim the show to a leaner, meaner, funnier 60 minutes. The last half hour of the show has been an unintentional laughing stock as long as I can remember. Is it any wonder that their episodes feel so much funnier when watched on Comedy Central's 60 minute format?

When Comedy Channel plays old SNL's it's always fascinating to me to see a band perform from many years ago. Like Nirvana was redhot when they were on SNL and it's interesting to see that years later. I haven't seen SNL in awhile and have no clue what bands are getting on there, but I wouldn't want to see that part go away.

Get rid of the stupid show and replace it with a concert series for all I care. About the only times I watch SNL is when they have a band I like.

They would never consider getting rid of the musical guest anyway. They attract viewers and it's been a part of the show since very early on.

I think they should keep it, it's tradition. Also the fact that they pick bands that are "hip right now" is cool... I love watching old reruns and seeing bands like Fine Young Cannibals or Spin Doctors... it's funny to see the one hit wonders and remember when they were popular. It's one of the things that makes the show what it is. I'm just glad they have been going to just one song a night, unless the band is actually good, then have the second.
