ENOUGH with the Old Navy commercials already!
 

I used to think the Verizon “Can you hear me now” commercials were akin to dental surgery without drugs. But then they toned down whatshisname’s broken record and hired the ferret.

As wonderful as the “Green Acres” theme might have been, I can’t remember anything this side of the “Enterprise” theme that makes me involuntarily and rapidly reach for the mute button on my remote EVERY SINGLE TIME.

Please, God, make it stop!!!

yeah, their commercials suck big time! ever since they revamped them with that old lady with the huge glasses and the dog i've never been able to stomach them. the air time that the green acres gets is extremely annoying!!!!! :yack:

The lady with the big glasses didn't get fired; she died. That was Carrie Donovan, an ex-editor at Vogue Magazine, trying to convince us that those horrid clothes were "chic". Perhaps her death was some cosmic payback for those ads.

I don't watch enough TV to get really annoyed by any commercials, but I dug the Megan Mullally spots from last year. I had no clue who she was, and she gave me the hot!

(I think those were Old Navy - but maybe I'm wrong)

Did someone mention Britney's boobs? I'd watch that commercial.

But the Old Navy Green Acres commercial has made me anti-Old Navy. I won't shop there until that ad is removed from the airwaves.

On general principle, I refuse to buy clothing from any store with hay in their commercials.

I always thought that Saturday Night Live should take advantage of that Verizon ad, "Can you hear me now?"

The sketch should show that one day this dude was with his friend and the friend ask him who is he talking to? And the friend grab the phone and said, "This cellphone is not even real, who've you been talking to the whole time?" And the verizon guy go crazy and just shout "verizon is the devil and they are going to eat me alive!!"

I still have an Old Navy jingle stuck in my head from like a couple years ago...

I hate that commercial but you have to admit Morgan Fairchild has held up remarkably well.

Morgan Fairchild is "hard-pressed'? I haven't heard that expression used since I had to translate the writings of Julius Caesar in Latin class about 35 years ago.
But she does look fine in that red dress.

I thought when Miss Donovan joined the Choir Invisible ("Magic" was apparently entombed with her), that we'd seen the last irritating commercial from them. Alas, 'twas not to be. It's an automatic scramble for the blessed "mute" button every time now.

Morgan Fairchild was hot twenty years ago. She's hot now. She'll be hot in twenty years.

can they really be making enough money on those stupid pants and vests etc. to make up for their air time?

i mean i buy a few things at old navy but i have never bought anything they have advertised.

What I hate about this commercial is all the stupid poses the guy makes - sticking his crotch out, riding the tractor like he's humping it. It makes me want to smack him. ;-)
